Job Responsibilities:
∎ Operations, maintenance, and monitoring of service provider network infrastructure
∎ Advanced level configuration and maintenance of different routing and switching protocols like IS-IS, OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, MPLS, VPN, STP, RSTP, MSTP, LACP etc
∎ Traffic engineering and routing policy configuration for service performance improvement and efficient use of NW resources
∎ Maintenance of high end CISCO/JUNIPER network router and switches
∎ Configuring different servers like mail, DNS, Remote Access, etc
∎ Configuring different NMS services like CACTI, MRTG, Observium, Nagios, Net-flow analyzer, syslog etc
∎ Maintaining detailed documentation and reports
∎ Operation and maintenance of POPs, Transmission Network
∎ Client Provisioning and providing necessary technical support and solutions to Clients
∎ Configuring and maintaining the security of the network infrastructure, which includes hardening of networking protocols, traffic flow and devices
∎ Plan and activate partner connectivity with the Core Network infrastructure
∎ Analyzing operational requirements and providing a technical solution for operational support
∎ Maintaining communication with clients, upstream providers, and regulatory authority
Additional Requirements:
∎ Strong knowledge of Internet protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS etc.)
∎ In-depth knowledge of routing protocol level: RIP, EIGRP, OSPF, IS-IS, BGP, MPLS
∎ Strong knowledge of STP, RSTP, MSTP, LACP, MLAG, FHRP
∎ Strong knowledge of physical layer (e.g., Optical, SDH, PDH, DWDM)
∎ Strong skills on documentation and maintaining network diagrams in Visio.
∎ Strong knowledge of layer - 2 networks and Layer - 3 networks. (e.g., VLAN, spanning tree, etc.)
∎ Experience in configuring CISCO Routers (e.g., ASR, NCS, IOS, IOS-XE, IOS-XR etc.)
∎ Experience in CISCO Switches (e.g., Cisco, Catalyst, Nexus, etc.)
∎ Strong knowledge of Juniper Routers and switches
∎ Experience with layer three routing protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, EIGRP etc.)
∎ Strong Knowledge of DNS, Proxy, DHCP, Web Servers, Database Servers (MySql), FTP servers, MRTG, and Email Servers in Linux/Windows
∎ Knowledge of MPLS and SR, SRv6
∎ Working knowledge of SNMP, Netflow, and protocols
∎ Experience in configuring SSL/IPSec VPN
∎ Experience in DoS/DDoS and other attack mitigation system
∎ Clear understanding about IPLC, IP Transit, upstream, CDN, Cache node services etc
∎ Microsoft, Cisco, and Juniper certifications (MCSE/ JNCIA/ JNCIS-SEC/ CCNA/ CCNP/ CCIP/ CCSP) will add extra advantage
∎ Must have experience in Networking Organizations (IIG/ISP/Telco)
