Job Context:

Sonargoan Seeds Crushing Mills Limited (SSCML) is one of the largest seeds crushing plants in Bangladesh which is a sister concern of Meghna Group of Industries (MGI). SSCML is engaged with producing high-quality Soya Meal, Rape Seed Cake, extruded full-fat (Soya), Soya Hulls, Liquid Lecithin, Powder Lecithin & Lecithin Oil etc. SSCML is currently looking for talented, self-driven, proactive, and career-ambitious Assistant Chemist for its plant, which is located at Meghnaghat, Narayanganj. The incumbents will be responsible for handling day-to-day lab-related work and maintaining and improving the quality of products and report to the department head for their duties and responsibilities.

Job Responsibilities:

• Check the quality of raw materials and finished goods by following established standards and guidelines to support overall quality control activities.

• Assist in conducting proximate analysis, chemical tests, and physical tests under supervision using approved laboratory methods to help verify material and product quality.

• Observing and record test results regularly and inform the immediate supervisor or Department Head if any abnormality or deviation is identified to ensure timely corrective action.

• Assist in collecting and preserving finished goods samples from different production shifts according to sampling procedures to support routine quality monitoring.

• Support and cooperate with sample collectors by explaining basic sampling activities and responsibilities to ensure proper handling and consistency.

• Communicate quality-related observations with team members and relevant departments to help address minor issues and support smooth coordination.

• Follow and maintain safety rules, laboratory procedures, and quality control standards while performing testing activities to ensure a safe working environment.

• Prepare and maintain test records, reports, and related quality documentation to ensure proper record keeping and audit readiness.
