Responsibilities & Context:

• Inspect company vehicles regularly to identify issues and ensure proper repair and preventive maintenance.

• Provide prompt technical support for vehicle breakdowns and on-road maintenance issues.

• Prepare monthly maintenance reports and service schedules, and coordinate with manufacturers such as Tata Motors, Ashok Leyland, and Runner Motors to resolve technical problems.

• Maintain and update all workshop records, including tyres, batteries, engine oil, spare parts, and related documentation.

• Oversee overall vehicle maintenance and ensure the procurement of quality spare parts at a reasonable cost.

• Monitor vehicle accidents, maintain accurate records, and take corrective and preventive actions.

• Ensure compliance with company transport policies and operational standards.

• Prepare monthly reports on spare parts usage and expenses, along with other required operational reports.

• Ensure smooth operation and proper utilization of the company’s vehicle fleet (more than 1500 commercial vehicles), including conducting test drives for inspection & verification.

• Maintain records using MS Word, MS Excel, SAP, and VMS (Vehicle Monitoring System); support driver recruitment activities; and perform additional tasks as assigned by the reporting supervisor.
