• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, SolidWorks, or similar design software.

• Strong knowledge of wood, metal, and composite materials used in furniture production.

• Excellent problem-solving, creativity, and project management skills.Strong communication skills to work with cross-functional teams.

1. Product Design & Development:

• Design and develop innovative furniture products based on market trends and customer requirements.

• Ensure product designs are functional, aesthetically appealing, and cost-effective.

• Generate sample designs using software packages such as AutoCAD, Woodwork for Inventor, SOLIDWORKS and Adobe Creative Suite, card models, Sketches,3D.

• Review furniture layouts and specifications to ensure accuracy, consistency with standards and space functionality.

• Meets with vendors for sourcing.

• Ensures product consistency with market trends business strategy.

• Repeatedly create furniture designs that support merchant line plans, assortment strategies, price points and overall creative direction.

• Provide solutions to deliver change to improve manufacturing schedules, costs and quality.

• Remain engaged throughout sales cycle up to order placement.

• Research and analyze trends in case furniture according to style and trend, remain current on trends in finishing, wood species and hardware.

• Gather market research and follow design trends.

• Create presentation boards that align with the seasonal concept and overall brand direction.

• Design products and collections based on business needs.

• Manage and participate in product development meetings.

• Clear understanding and articulation of project scope, deliverables, and timelines required.

• Robust furniture application & interiors product knowledge Ability to educate clients on current workplace trends, colors and use of finishes.

2. Technical & Structural Analysis:

• Conduct feasibility studies to assess materials, production costs, and durability of furniture designs.

• Work closely with production teams to ensure practical implementation of designs.

3. Collaboration & Coordination:

• Coordinate with the procurement team to select appropriate raw materials and finishes.

• Work with marketing and sales teams to develop design concepts that meet market demands.

• Liaise with factory Production head and production staff to troubleshoot design challenges.

4. Quality:

• Ensure all product designs comply with local reputed furniture industry standards.

5. Project Management & Documentation:

• Manage product development timelines, ensuring on-time completion of projects.

• Maintain detailed documentation of designs, modifications.

• Provide reports on product performance and improvement recommendations.
