∎ JOB PURPOSE: We are looking for a number of Financial Analysts for our field team. The Financial Analyst will play a pivotal role in our Finance Department, assisting the Divisional Accounts Manager in conducting financial status analysis. This position involves the collection, monitoring, and study of financial data, as well as providing actionable recommendations. Additionally, the role will be crucial in identifying the scopes for system development for Finance operations by rationalizing data and aligning it with strategic and programmatic priorities.
∎ Location: BRAC Field Office (Anywhere in Bangladesh).
Job Responsibilities:
∎ KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
∎ Consolidate and analyse financial data, including financial statements and budgets, with consideration for BRAC's goals and financial standing.
∎ Assemble and summarize financial data to craft sophisticated reports detailing the financial status.
∎ Develop summaries of audit observations, bKash, and staff savings scheme reconciliation reports and recommend actions for addressing compliances.
∎ Prepare a risk-based branch identification report, categorizing risks into financial and non-financial categories.
∎ Identify emerging trends and recommend strategic actions to the Divisional Accounts Manager based on a thorough analysis.
∎ Guide the cost analysis process by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures, ensuring a systematic approach.
∎ Develop financial models, conduct benchmarking activities, and perform process analysis to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
∎ SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES:
∎ Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme's goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
Additional Requirements:
∎ You should have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, preferably gained in a microfinance program.
∎ You should possess a strong understanding of business finance, accounts, and analytics, along with proven proficiency in working with spreadsheets, databases, and financial software applications.
