Responsibilities & Context:
∎ 1. Production Monitoring & Schedule Adjustment Real-time Tracking:
∎ Use MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) or ERP tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle) to monitor LG/Sony production lines for output, downtime, and bottlenecks.
∎ Demand Alignment: Collaborate with Sales/Marketing to adjust schedules weekly/monthly based on market trends (e.g., high demand for OLED TVs during holidays).
∎ Flexible Shifts: Implement dynamic staffing (overtime/temporary labor) during peak demand; reduce shifts during low demand.
∎ 2. Defective & Returned TV Analysis Root Cause Analysis (RCA):
∎ Use 5 Whys/Fishbone Diagrams to trace defects (e.g., panel issues, software bugs).
∎ Categorize returns: manufacturing defects (LG) vs. customer misuse (Sony).
∎ Corrective Actions: Work with QC teams to tighten tolerance checks (e.g., solder points, screen calibration).
∎ Partner with R&D to address recurring issues (e.g., HDMI board failures).
∎ 3. Assembly Line Efficiency Workflow Analysis:
∎ Conduct time-motion studies to eliminate redundancies (e.g., parallel testing stations).
∎ Apply Lean Manufacturing (reduce waste) and SMED (Quick Changeover) for model switches.
∎ Automation: Propose robotic arms for repetitive tasks (e.g., screw tightening, packaging).
∎ 4. Policy Implementation & Team Management:
∎ HOD Collaboration:
∎ Align with leadership on KPIs (e.g., 95% on-time delivery, <1% defect rate).
∎ Safety Compliance: Daily audits for PPE usage (gloves, ESD mats) and machine guarding. Train staff on ISO 45001 standards.
∎ Team Motivation: Performance bonuses for zero-defect batches. Gemba walks to address worker feedback (e.g., ergonomic adjustments).
∎ 5. Productivity & Performance Reviews Metrics Tracking:
∎ OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) for line utilization.
∎ First Pass Yield (FPY) to measure defect rates.
∎ Reviews:
∎ Monthly 1:1s with team leads to discuss productivity gaps.
∎ Skill matrix assessments to identify training needs (e.g., soldering certification).
