• Strong practical knowledge of PVC compounding, injection molding, extrusion, and plastic fittings manufacturing processes.

• Proven ability to lead large production teams in a factory environment with multiple shifts.

• Hands-on experience in production planning, line balancing, and capacity utilization.

• Sound understanding of quality control systems, rejection analysis, and continuous improvement techniques.

• Practical knowledge of cost control, wastage reduction, and productivity improvement methods.

• Familiarity with factory compliance requirements, including labor laws, safety regulations, and audit standards in Bangladesh.

• Ability to prepare and analyze production reports, MIS, and performance dashboards.

• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and troubleshooting skills on the shop floor.

• Good communication and coordination skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

• Willingness to work extended hours and handle pressure during peak production periods.

Job Context:

Fresh Polymer and Paints Limited (FPPL), a concern of Meghna Group of Industries (MGI), is an upcoming polymer manufacturing industry in Bangladesh, being developed with modern pipe extrusion technologies to produce uPVC, cPVC, and PE Pipes for infrastructure, housing, and industrial applications. The project is designed to support the growing domestic demand for quality piping solutions and to establish a strong manufacturing platform capable of future expansion. We are inviting applications from experienced and competent professionals for the position of Production Head (PVC & Plastics fittings), who will play a key leadership role during the plant setup, stabilization, and commercial production phases. The incumbent will be responsible for production planning, line readiness, manpower deployment, process standardization, and quality-controlled manufacturing operations, ensuring that production systems are established in line with MGI’s operational, safety, and compliance standards.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Production Planning & Execution:

• Initiate daily production operations at all PVC and plastic fittings lines to ensure timely start-up and uninterrupted manufacturing.

• Implement daily, weekly, and monthly production plans to achieve targeted output and delivery schedules.

• Control production flow and machine allocation to maintain optimum line efficiency and capacity utilization.

2. Coordination & Communication:

• Liaise with Shift IC, Line IC, Quality Control IC, FG Store IC, and Plant Head to ensure smooth coordination and operational alignment.

• Coordinate activities of Shift ICs, Line ICs, and operators to ensure effective manpower utilization and consistent production performance.

• Maintain coordination with Mixture Unit and Electroplating Unit to ensure uninterrupted supply of materials and process continuity.

3. Monitoring & Performance Control:

• Monitor daily production output, machine efficiency, and labor productivity to maximize operational efficiency.

• Monitor product quality and rejection levels to maintain required quality standards and reduce wastage.

• Monitor finished goods stock status to support proper inventory control and timely dispatch.

4. Review, Analysis & Cost Control:

• Review daily and monthly production plans and reports to identify deviations and take corrective actions.

• Analyze labor utilization, rejection causes, and production costs to improve profitability and process effectiveness.

5. Quality Assurance & Compliance:

• Ensure adherence to approved quality standards and SOPs to deliver consistent and defect-free PVC and plastic fittings.

• Ensure compliance with factory rules, safety standards, and Bangladeshi labor laws to maintain a safe and lawful working environment.

6. Leadership & Workforce Management:

• Advise and guide production personnel on daily operations and monthly targets to align individual performance with organizational goals.

• Evaluate performance of subordinates and recommend training or corrective actions to improve workforce capability and discipline.
