Context:
The AGM – Production will be responsible for overseeing the overall production and mould manufacturing operations to ensure timely delivery, quality compliance, optimum productivity, and cost efficiency. The role involves managing production planning, CNC and mould manufacturing processes, manpower, machine utilization, maintenance coordination, safety compliance, and continuous process improvement while ensuring smooth coordination with internal departments, vendors, and customers.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, organize, and control daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules to meet delivery targets.

• Ensure optimal utilization of manpower, machines, tools, and materials.

• Monitor production output, rejection rate, and efficiency.

• Coordinate with Planning, Store, and Maintenance departments.

• Oversee complete mold manufacturing processes including:

  • Design coordination

  • CNC machining, EDM, Wire-cut

  • Fitting, polishing, assembly, and trial

• Ensure molds are produced as per approved drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.

• Supervise mold trials, modifications, and final approval.

• Ensure compliance with quality standards, tolerances, and inspection procedures.

• Reduce rejection, rework, and scrap through root cause analysis.

• Coordinate with QA/QC for inspection and documentation.

• Lead, guide, and motivate Production Managers, Engineers, Supervisors, and Operators.

• Allocate manpower efficiently and control absenteeism and overtime.

• Identify training needs and arrange skill development programs.

• Maintain discipline and ensure compliance with company rules and safety norms.

• Control production cost by minimizing wastage, downtime, and rework.

• Monitor tool, spare parts, and consumable usage.

• Achieve productivity and cost-reduction targets set by management.

• Coordinate with Maintenance for preventive and breakdown maintenance.

• Ensure machines (CNC, EDM, milling, grinding, etc.) are properly maintained.

• Minimize machine downtime and improve OEE.

• Ensure workplace safety, machine guarding, and use of PPE.

• Maintain proper housekeeping and 5S implementation.

• Ensure compliance with labor law, factory regulations, and audit requirements.

• Coordinate with Design, Purchase, Store, QA, Sales, and Customer Support teams.

• Prepare and submit production MIS, efficiency reports, delay analysis, and corrective action plans.

• Attend management meetings and support strategic decisions.

• Support customer visits, audits, and technical discussions.

• Coordinate with vendors/subcontractors for outsourcing work if required.

• Ensure on-time mold delivery and customer satisfaction.
