In this senior executive capacity, your purpose is to champion operational excellence and commercial governance across BRAC’s entire construction landscape. You will be tasked with optimizing massive resource deployments, mitigating macro-level project risks, and enforcing absolute alignment with international engineering benchmarks and internal compliance frameworks. As the final arbiter for site-level technical challenges, your disciplined oversight will ensure that sprawling infrastructure operations are executed on time, within budget, and with immaculate post-completion accountability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead integrated lifecycle planning across the portfolio, ensuring seamless alignment between design parameters, procurement timelines, and multi-zone site execution to guarantee uninterrupted workflow continuity.

  • Drive the end-to-end delivery of all civil and electrical projects, enforcing strict adherence to approved drawings, Bill of Quantities (BOQs), and timelines to achieve on-time, within-budget completion.

  • Serve as the final site-level technical decision authority, conducting rigorous audits to eliminate major Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and ensure absolute alignment with Bangladesh National Building Code (BNBC) and internal engineering benchmarks.

  • Oversee portfolio-wide financial operations, verifying running bills against actual physical progress to eliminate over-certification while maintaining transparent documentation for formal audit accountability.

  • Orchestrate close coordination with Procurement and cross-functional teams to secure material readiness, proactively mitigating supply chain disruptions, lead-time delays, and critical project risks through a live risk register.

  • Formulate structured, periodic performance reports (covering Schedule Variance, Cost Variance, and safety milestones) for the Chief Engineer, while maintaining high-level alignment with external vendors and client teams.

  • Champion a zero-harm culture to achieve zero lost-time injuries (LTI) through strict enforcement of safeguarding policies, unannounced inspections, and structured performance mentoring to build elite team capacity.

Safeguarding Responsibilities:

  • Establish a safeguarding culture across all levels of the programme by implementing the safeguarding policy. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.

  • Responsible to ensure team members are appropriately trained, supported, and have access to resources regarding issues that are identified and implemented in accordance with the safeguarding policy and procedure.

  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
