Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of sea service as Chief Officer on ocean-going vessels, or equivalent experience in Port Captaincy / Marine Surveying / Boarding operations. (Retired Bangladesh Navy or Coast Guard officers with relevant experience are also encouraged to apply).

Technical Knowledge: Strong expertise in port operations, vessel berthing, cargo handling, and maritime documentation.

Skills: Excellent oral and written English communication skills; strong problem-solving and leadership capabilities.

Physical Fitness: Physically fit to perform vessel boarding under dynamic port conditions and open to flexible shift schedules (Day/Night).



Responsibilities & Context:

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated 2nd/3rd Chief Officer to join our Port Boarding Team. The successful candidate will oversee vessel boarding operations, monitor cargo handling, liaise with ship captains and port authorities, and ensure complete operational safety and regulatory compliance while vessels are in port.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform direct vessel boarding upon arrival and manage day-to-day port boarding operations.

  • Coordinate effectively with Vessel Masters, Chief Officers, Port Authorities, Stevedores, and Coast Guard/Naval officials.

  • Monitor cargo loading, unloading, stowing, and discharge operations to ensure safety and efficiency.

  • Handle all port clearance, anchorage, berthing paperwork, and operational documentation.

  • Identify and report any operational bottlenecks, technical issues, or safety hazards immediately to the management.

  • Ensure strict adherence to international maritime regulations (SOLAS, MARPOL) and local port rules.
