Experience:
Understanding of common NCDs including risk factors, prevention, and management strategies.
Knowledge of health education principles and Behavioral Change Communication (BCC) strategies to effectively promote healthy behaviors.
Awareness of the structure and functioning of the healthcare system, particularly at the Upazila Health Complex level.
Proficiency in data analysis software (e.g., Excel, SPSS, R, or Python) and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
Familiarity with healthcare data management systems and patient tracking software.
The BRAC Health Programme collaborates with digital tools and point-of-care diagnostics to enhance healthcare outcomes for Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) within Bangladesh’s existing healthcare system. This program, based on the WHO-PEN model, is a partnership between BRAC, Medtronic LABS, and the Welcome to Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoH&FW) - offering NCD interventions through primary healthcare in resource-limited areas. Existing community networks of BRAC are engaged in activities such as awareness campaigns, digitalized screenings, referrals, and follow-ups. Medtronic LABS provides the digital solution for comprehensive NCD care between the community and facilities, while the government manages treatment and accountability.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to NCD patient demographics, treatment adherence, and follow-up rates to guide project Strategies.
Develop actionable insights and strategies from data analysis to enhance program efficiency and patient care.
Generate and present regular reports with data-based recommendations for project teams to support decision-making.
Provide technical guidance for data management, patient tracking systems, and reporting tools to healthcare teams.
Support the implementation of automation processes, assisting staff in adapting to digital tools for patient management and record-keeping.
Troubleshoot technical challenges in data systems and collaborate with IT teams to resolve issues swiftly.
Conduct regular field visits to monitor and supervise data collection practices, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with program standards.
Work with health educators and field staff to identify and follow up with patients who missed appointments, aiming to improve engagement and reduce lost-to-follow-up cases.
Support the development of outreach strategies for patient re-engagement, using data insights to tailor follow-up efforts.
Facilitate communication between field teams and data teams to ensure a cohesive approach to service delivery for NCD patients.
SAFEGURDING RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organization and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme`s goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment
Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.
