Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Facilitate field-level actions to implement gender mainstreaming plans in collaboration with the projects.
∎ Provide technical guidance to field management teams of the projects to achieve gender mainstreaming goals and objectives.
∎ Develop monthly and annual action plans, meeting schedules, and targets, and report progress to the supervisor.
∎ Lead capacity-building initiatives to transfer gender-related skills to project staff, volunteers, workers, and stakeholders.
∎ Identify operational challenges, implement solutions, and provide referral linkages for gender-based violence cases.
∎ Regularly visit project platforms and forums to ensure quality assurance and effective implementation.
∎ Foster effective communication and collaboration with the project component to meet gender mainstreaming targets within the specified timeframe.
∎ Facilitate, and participate in district-level meetings, dialogues, trainings, workshops, and events. Strengthen local advocacy and networking with relevant government and non-government stakeholders to promote gender equality.
∎ Ensure thorough documentation of activities and regular reporting to the supervisor.
∎ Support the collection of data and information related to the Gender Justice and Diversity (GJD) program from the field.
∎ Monitor budget expenditures at the field level in collaboration with local accounts teams.
∎ Organise and celebrate events to raise awareness of women’s rights and gender equality.
∎ Flag the issues related to gender equality and women's rights and take appropriate actions.
∎ Perform any other tasks related to GJD program goals as assigned by the supervisor.Safeguarding
∎ Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
