Job Responsibilities:
∎ Job Description:
∎ Lead the development of competency profile of retail organizations through competency mapping
∎ Ensure the technical aspects of the vocational and soft skills training module capturing the demand from the retail partners and ensuring that youth are able to grasp this training. The person will also be in charge of identifying additional partners in the retail sector as and when necessary, ensure quality of training for youth as well as in partner organizations as per project mandate
∎ Conduct training for occupation specific skills as and when necessary
∎ Provide technical support for conducting workplace based assessment
∎ Develop ToR and RFPs for external consultants for materials or content development
∎ Assist in learner selection (including women & girls and People with Disabilities) from disadvantaged groups for skills training
∎ Provide leadership in technical requirements of different teaching learning material such as trade specific competency based Skill Log Books, technical trainer guide, Competency Based Learning Materials (CBLM) and any other TVET materials as per programme strategy & proposal
∎ Guide decent work practices in the retail and sales training by closely working with the decent work team
∎ Support Programme Manager in organizing seminars, workshops, awareness raising sessions, motivational boot camps etc. and work closely with him/her to ensure necessary support as per project requirements
∎ Support the employment officers to link the youth to job market
∎ Support Programme Manager to maintain regular liaison with key stakeholders including government, civil society, NGO & other relevant agencies involved in the project
∎ Support to identify the improvement areas of the external retail partners and provide necessary support to strengthen the capacity of the partners
∎ Ensure proper documentation by supporting the communications & knowledge management specialist for capturing lessons learned and case stories etc. as well as ensure support to SDP team by providing regular updates on the project by sharing reports, maintaining liaison with different development partners and retail partners
∎ Safeguarding:
∎ Establish a safeguarding culture across all level of the programme by implementing the safeguarding policy. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment
∎ Responsible to ensure team members are appropriately trained, supported and have access to resources regarding issues that are identified and actioned in accordance with the safeguarding policy and procedure
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 3- 5 years' experience in development sector, with exposure to retail sales service industry.
∎ Candidates having work experience in retail organizations, decent work environment, partnership management, leading staff capacity building initiatives, developing training module and providing skill development training (preferably in retail sales sector) will be given preference
∎ Additional Job Requirements:
∎ Technical knowledge on retail sales
∎ Sound understanding of NTVQF
∎ Strong networking and interpersonal skills
∎ Excellent communication skills both in English and Bangla
∎ Sound problem solving and analytical skills
