BRAC, in partnership with the Australian Border Force, is implementing an awareness campaign (2025–2026) to combat human trafficking, people smuggling, and irregular migration in Bangladesh. The project will engage youth, communities, and influencers through educational institutions, youth groups, community events, cultural programs, media, and digital platforms. It will also strengthen survivor networks and build the capacity of institutions. The initiative aims to empower vulnerable groups with accurate information, promote safe migration practices, and reduce the risks of exploitation.
Job Purpose
The ‘Technical Expert – Social Media’ will lead the project’s strategic communication and digital engagement efforts. This role will be responsible for designing and executing audience-focused SBCC strategies, producing high-quality digital content, and ensuring wide dissemination through online platforms and mass media. The position will also oversee the development of targeted PR materials, thematic publications, and cross-platform storytelling to effectively promote safe migration and deter human trafficking.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement the project’s SBCC and digital media strategy aligned with behavioral change objectives.
Lead strategic content planning across social platforms, including Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, and others, tailoring messaging to target groups (PIIs and influencers).
Guide the design and production of videos, infographics, reels, digital stories, and interactive content to support campaigns and day observances.
Coordinate with field teams and MRSCs to localize social content and integrate online/offline outreach strategies.
Oversee the development of branded IEC materials, campaign assets, and community-friendly publications.
Prepare digital-ready versions of print materials such as SBCC booklets, newsletters, and visual reports.
Produce strategic PR content, including feature write-ups, opinion articles, and press releases for mainstream and digital media.
Collaborate with creative vendors and internal teams for timely content creation, quality assurance, and publishing.
Track and analyze content performance; produce reports with insights and recommendations.
Ensure digital communications uphold safeguarding standards and ethical storytelling.
Represent BRAC in technical communication discussions with donors, agencies, and partners.
Safeguarding Responsibilities:
Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organization and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA).Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
