Job Responsibilities:
∎ Develop communications strategy by collaborating with leadership
∎ Lead communication team to drive high level communication initiatives
∎ Ensure visible positioning of Humanitarian Crisis Management programme (HCMP) of BRAC both in national and global platform
∎ Maintain regular communication with partners/ donors for implementing high standard program activities and advocacy with the relevant stakeholders
∎ Carry out capacity building/ initiatives for the various sectors within BRAC
∎ Represent BRAC in sectoral coordination meetings
∎ Ensure periodic report to Management and Donor and contribute to BRAC's learning
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme's goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 7 years of experience in the field of communications in NGO/ INGO. Candidates having experience to work with different media at the local and the national level will get preference
∎ Commitment to an understanding of BRAC core values and principles
∎ Have sound knowledge on development sector, global development scenario to identify funding trends, contemporary communication practices and platforms, media engagement etc.
∎ Excellent skills in strategic communication, relationship building, project management, event management, fundraising, public speaking, creative writing, blogging and visual storytelling
∎ Have effective acquaintance with people management
