Job Context:
∎ Olympia International is a globally recognized trading firm, with a reputation for excellence and an entrepreneurial spirit. As part of our expansion strategy, we are establishing a dedicated stock buying department focused on capitalizing on the abundant stock lots resulting from global buyer cancellations in Bangladesh.
∎ The Stock Lot Sourcing Manager will be instrumental in establishing and leading our stock buying efforts. This role demands an individual who has deep connections within the garment and manufacturing sectors of Bangladesh, combined with a keen eye for sourcing lucrative stock lots and a strong capability in price negotiation.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Sourcing & Procurement: Identify potential stock lots across different sectors in Bangladesh, particularly those arising from global buyer cancellations.
∎ Develop and maintain strong relationships with factories and suppliers to ensure exclusive access to the best stock lots.
∎ Regularly visit factories and suppliers to inspect stock lots, ensuring they meet Olympia International's quality standards.
∎ Negotiation & Pricing: Effectively negotiate the best possible prices for stock lots, keeping in mind quality and volume.
∎ Analyze market trends to anticipate potential price fluctuations and stock lot availability.
∎ Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with internal teams to determine stock requirements and specifications.
∎ Maintain regular communication with the central purchasing team to provide updates on sourced stock lots and expected deliveries.
∎ Reporting: Provide weekly and monthly reports on sourcing activities, successes, challenges, and market insights.
∎ Use data analytics to evaluate sourcing efficiency and develop strategies for improvement.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 28 years
∎ Minimum of 5 years of experience in sourcing or procurement, with specific experience in stock lot purchasing preferred.
∎ Extensive network and contacts within factories and the manufacturing sector in Bangladesh.
∎ Proven track record in price negotiation and securing favorable deals.
∎ Strong analytical, organizational, and multi-tasking skills.
∎ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
∎ Fluent in Bengali and English. Other languages are a plus.
