Olympia International Ltd is an international apparel group producing knitwear for in-house brands and external customers across Europe, UK, and the USA.
We are looking for a Knit Merchandiser who can confidently manage the end-to-end order process, from development and sampling through bulk production and shipment, working closely with factories, quality, and commercial teams.
This role requires strong knit product understanding, hands-on factory coordination, and the ability to solve problems quickly in a fast-moving environment.
Coordinate knit development, sampling, and approvals (SMS, PP, size sets as required)
Work closely with factories on:
Yarn & fabric selection
GSM, shrinkage, and fabric behaviour
Construction and finishing details
Track sample comments and ensure accurate implementation
Manage confirmed knit orders from order placement to shipment
Follow the Time & Action (T&A) calendar and proactively flag risks
Coordinate with:
Factories
Quality teams
Internal merchandising & commercial teams
Ensure production milestones are achieved on time
Work closely with the Knit Quality Manager / Technical team
Ensure:
Approved fabrics and specs are followed
Measurement and construction consistency
Correct trims, labels, and packing standards
Support inline and pre-final quality processes where required
Act as the primary day-to-day contact between Olympia and knit factories
Visit factories regularly to:
Review production status
Resolve technical or quality issues
Support bulk readiness
Maintain clear and accurate records:
Sample status
Bulk status
Shipment readiness
Share regular production updates with internal teams
Minimum 4–7 years’ experience as a Knit Merchandiser
Experience working with:
Knit fabrics (single jersey, rib, interlock, fleece, pique, etc.)
Export-oriented garment factories or buying houses
Good understanding of:
Knit production processes
Fabric behaviour (shrinkage, GSM variation, twist)
Sampling and approval workflows
Comfortable coordinating multiple orders and factories
Strong communication skills (factory & internal teams)
Well-organised and detail-oriented
Confident problem-solver
Able to work under pressure and tight timelines
Proficient in MS Excel and basic reporting
