Experience:
We are looking for an experienced Senior Woven Merchandiser to manage the Guide London brand account with a strong focus on formal woven shirts for UK and European markets. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with woven fabrics, shirt construction, trims, washing/finishing, and working directly with international buyers.
This is a senior position—leadership, initiative, and excellent communication are essential.
Manage complete order lifecycle for Guide London: sampling, costing, development, approvals, bulk follow-up & shipment.
Lead product development for formal woven shirts: fabric sourcing, trims, wash, fit & construction details.
Communicate with UK buyers daily; attend virtual meetings, costing negotiations, approvals & feedback.
Coordinate with planning, production, QA, pattern, and accessories teams to ensure on-time delivery.
Prepare BOM, costing sheets, T&A, and status reports.
Ensure all sample comments (fit / PP / size set) are actioned correctly.
Monitor production quality and work closely with QC to troubleshoot issues.
Work with mills and suppliers to secure fabrics at competitive lead times.
Maintain strong follow-up from enquiry to shipment, ensuring required margins are achieved.
Lead and guide junior merchandisers and assistants.
Handle UK/EU compliance, testing, labels, packaging and AQL requirements.
Minimum 8 years’ experience in woven merchandising.
MUST have strong experience in formal shirts (construction, collar types, cuffs, placket, button types, interlining, wash/finish).
Strong understanding of UK and European brands/markets.
Excellent English communication (spoken & written).
Strong costing & negotiation skills.
High level of professionalism and urgency.
Ability to manage multiple styles and orders independently.
Experience working with stock fabrics & mill fabrics is a plus.
B.Sc. in Textile Engineering / Fashion Merchandising / Business / related field (preferred)
