Experience:
Good knowledge on BD Labor Law along its latest amendment
Minimum experience of 3 years as Welfare Officer/Sr. Welfare Officer in RMG/Textile based organization
Ability to lead a team of Welfare Officers
People management skill
Moderate proficiency in MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Word
Visit factory floor daily to check housekeeping and compliance issues.
Execute & ensure orientation and training programs for the workers.
Make workers aware of Health, Hygiene and Safety issues.
Conduct Regular counselling of workers, Maintain various registers and logs.
Involve in counselling and follow up pregnant workers, ensuring Maternity benefits.
Observe different facilities including, the canteen, childcare, canteen, adequate number of toilets and latrines, drinking water, etc.
Support the workers by having leave granted with salary facilities and informing the workers about all kinds of leave and other relevant regulations.
Work on overall improvement of the work and standard of living of the workers and recommending for their welfare and benevolence.
Organize welfare committee meetings, WPC, and Grievance meetings, preparing minutes and circulating.
Provide necessary supports and advice to the workers and the management authority in order to implement the regulations of the Company.
Maintain regular contact with the medical officers and the authority of the factory to provide better treatment facilities to the workers.
Coordinate discussion between the representative of the workers and the Owner representative about the conditions of the service/labour contract.
Take steps rapidly for reconciliation if there happens to be disagreement between the Owner and the workers.
Make connections and arrange dialogue between the parties for maintain the cooperative relationship between the Owner and the workers (If required by management).
Prepare necessary reports and submit to management regularly, as and when required.
