Preference will be given to candidates with experience in knit composite garments in the online quality assurance department.
Experience in quality and finishing in a knit composite factory will be an added advantage.
In-depth knowledge of fabric properties, manufacturing processes, and testing methods.
Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to textiles and fabrics.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skill for effective collaboration with various teams and suppliers.
A keen eye for detail and a passion for staying updated on the latest fabric trends and technologies.
Responsibilities & Context:
A knowledgeable person on fabric, its manufacturing, dyeing, printing, finishing & other relevant processes.
Ensure proper quality of fabrics (From fabric sourcing to shipment of garments) as per buyer requirements & management instructions.
Resolve fabric-related all kinds of problems as per buyers’ guiding & management instructions.
Ensure that all test reports of fabric meet buyer technical requirements.
Face buyers/ Auditors/ Inspections if needed to resolve fabric-related technical problem(s)
Support on any fabric issues, starting from sourcing, development, sampling, base test, lab-dip/strike-off/handloom, bulk testing, appearance, handle and color approval, garment washing, garment dyeing, etc.
Coordinate with the merchandising, Quality, Sourcing, and design teams to understand fabric requirements and specifications for various collections.
Work with fabric suppliers and assess their capabilities to meet our demands (as per management guidelines).
Evaluate fabric samples based on color consistency, hand feel, composition, shrinkage, durability, and other relevant properties.
