Responsibilities & Context:

1. Advanced Shade Development

• Lead complex shade development (dark, reactive, mélange, enzyme wash shades)

• Optimize recipes for cost, reproducibility, and bulk feasibility

• Ensure lab-to-bulk shade consistency

2. Technical Control & Approval

• Review and approve lab dip recipes prepared by executives

• Analyze shade deviation and propose corrective actions

• Guide lab team to reduce re-dips and lead time

3. Bulk Support & Troubleshooting

• Support bulk dyeing during first bulk lot

• Resolve shade variation, batch-to-batch issues

• Adjust recipes based on machine parameters and fabric variation

• Strong knowledge of knit dyeing processes

• Understanding of reactive dyes & auxiliaries

• Shade matching skill and color sense

• Vast knowledge of spectrophotometer (optional)

• Familiarity with buyer standards & fastness requirements

4. Compliance & Sustainability

• Promote right-first-time dyeing to reduce water, chemical, and energy use

• Support sustainability audits and documentation

5. Training & Supervision

• Train lab executives on:

o Dyeing theory

o Shade matching techniques

o Safety & chemical handling

• Monitor lab performance KPIs (approval %, TAT, re-dip rate)

6. Reporting & Coordination

• Prepare lab performance reports for management

• Coordinate with:

o Merchandising for shade priority

o Production for bulk feasibility

o QA for shade approval standards

• Any other responsibilities assign by the management.
