Job Responsibilities:
∎ Quality Assurance:
∎ A software quality assurance (QA) engineer monitors every phase of the development process to ensure that the design and software adhere to company standards. Generally, the following tasks are performed:
∎ Creates detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
∎ Develops and executes test plans for testing the company's product while working in an agile environment.
∎ Develops automation frameworks using the Selenium Web Driver and mobile automation tools.
∎ Executes and maintains the automated test scripts, ensuring a continuous testing process.
∎ Collaborates with other engineers, communicating progress and challenges and soliciting input from the QA team, development, and product management.
∎ Functional, browser compatibility, regression, and security testing
∎ Identifies bugs and reports them to the bug tracking system (JIRA).
∎ Automated, repeatable test solutions against requirements and specifications
∎ Automating test cases for future regression testing
∎ Designs and develops test scripts to automate different test scenarios.
∎ Reviews Software Requirement Specification (SRS).
∎ Identifies potential problems users may encounter.
∎ Performs manual and automated testing.
∎ Research and Analyze Product Features Being Tested
∎ Research on new tools, technologies, and testing processes
∎ Reviews User Interfaces for Consistency and Functionality
∎ Reviews requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
∎ Guides and monitors the analysis, design, implementation, and execution of the test cases, test procedures, and test suites.
∎ Technical Writing and Documentation:
∎ The technical writer plays an important role in product or software development as simple, precise, and accurate documentation builds trust and reliability with the customers. Hence, this role will demand the following:
∎ Prepares, reviews, revises, and maintains technical documents, including software and systems engineering, system operations, testing, and user documentation.
∎ Gathers and analyzes technical and product information from various sources to document new or changing products' functionality.
∎ Software technical writers make user guides, setup instructions, instruction manuals, online training material, release notes, new feature documents, how-to guides, and quick reference articles.
∎ Contributes to proposal writing from the perspective of the technical side and presenting utilizing MS Powerpoint, Microsoft VVisio,and other office tools.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Ability to Code Automated Tests using one or more automation tools including UFT/QTP, Katalone, Microsoft Coded UI, Ruby, Cucumber, Watir, Selenium, etc.
∎ Knowledge of various types of software applications (i.e. packaged software, Web applications, Windows-based applications, Web Services, Mobile applications, etc)
∎ Ability to work with various QA/Testing tools and technologies – i.e. Azure DevOps or TFS, SOAP UI, HP ALM, JIRA, etc.
∎ Understanding of SQL Scripts and being able to write SQL to work with various databases
∎ Experience wiwith the ile Development Process
∎ Experience with Web-Based Testing Applications
∎ Identify, Isolate, and Track Bugs Throughout Testing
∎ Solid Understanding of QA Testing Environments
∎ A thorough understanding of software development life cycles
∎ Proven working experience in technical writing of software documentation
∎ Ability to deliver high quality documentation while paying attention to detail
∎ Aability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and pictures.
∎ Excellent written skills in English
∎ Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
∎ Basic familiarity with the SDLC and software development
