Having experience in finishing work of Building completion will be given preference.

Experience designing structural drawings and total cost estimation of a building project.

Ability to design steel structural systems.

Experience constructing mixed-use Buildings on piling works by Rigs Tractor Mounted/ Hydraulic Rotary Rig, Tripod.

Preparing bill and BOQ to fill up construction tender of Bangladesh Government. Strong portfolio to prove innovative structural skills and quality.

Familiarity with design software (Sketch Up or 3d Studio Max or similar)/compulsory to know about Autodesk AutoCAD.

Must have a work experience with 3 basement levels.

Top Down method work experience.



Responsibilities & Context:

Supervise daily construction activities according to approved drawings, specifications, and work schedules.

Ensure that all construction work meets the required quality standards and engineering requirements.

Coordinate with project managers, architects, consultants, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and other relevant parties.

Interpret structural, architectural, electrical, plumbing, and other engineering drawings for proper execution of work at the site.

Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly construction progress reports.

Monitor project progress and take corrective action if the work falls behind schedule.

Check the quality and quantity of construction materials delivered to the project site.

Inspect reinforcement, formwork, concrete work, brickwork, plastering, finishing work, and other construction activities.

Prepare the overall project budget based on approved drawings, specifications, material prices, labour costs, equipment expenses, and other project requirements.

Conduct detailed cost estimations for materials, labour, machinery, subcontracting work, transportation, and other construction-related expenses.

Prepare accurate quantity take-offs and Bills of Quantities (BOQ) for civil, structural, architectural, electrical, plumbing, and finishing works.

Review and update project budgets, cost estimates, and BOQs whenever there are design changes, price variations, or additional work requirements.

Compare estimated costs with actual project expenses and report any budget variance or cost overrun to management.

Control project expenses and recommend cost-effective construction methods without compromising quality.

Estimate the required quantities of materials, labour, machinery, equipment, and other resources for the project.

Prepare material requisitions and coordinate with the Procurement Department for the timely delivery of materials.

Maintain records of material consumption, labour attendance, equipment usage, site activities, and work progress.

Ensure the proper storage and efficient use of construction materials to minimise damage and wastage.

Identify technical problems at the site and recommend practical and cost-effective solutions.

Ensure compliance with workplace health, safety, and environmental requirements.

Conduct safety briefings and ensure that workers use the required personal protective equipment.

Report accidents, unsafe practices, construction defects, delays, and project risks to management.

Arrange site inspections with consultants and obtain approval before proceeding with the next stage of work.

Maintain updated drawings, site instructions, inspection reports, test results, measurement sheets, and other project documents.

Ensure that construction work is completed within the approved budget, timeline, quality standards, and project requirements.

Attend project coordination meetings and provide updates regarding progress, costs, materials, technical issues, and site challenges.

Prepare snag lists, supervise rectification work, and support the testing, commissioning, and final handover of the project.

Maintain professional discipline among workers, contractors, subcontractors, and other site personnel.

Ensure compliance with company policies, approved construction procedures, and instructions provided by management.

Perform any other engineering, budgeting, estimation, BOQ preparation, or project-related responsibilities assigned by management.
