Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Conducting individual counseling session to the programme participants, volunteer and staff
∎ Facilitating training, orientation, meeting and group meeting on ‘Psychosocial support’ for the staff and volunteer etc.
∎ Developing module of PSS, and take step in contextualization of curriculum-based module including translation & documentation
∎ Supporting other child protection colleagues in supportive supervision, and guidance to effectively perform the duties and achieve the objective of child protection and gender-based violence intervention which contribute a quality programme
∎ Conducting different meeting, and training for capacity development of the staffs as well as arrange meeting with parents, CBCPC, community leaders (Imam, and other influential person), adolescent leaders
∎ Providing Psychological First Aid (PFA) services in emergency situations and guide the team to effectively provide the support
∎ Establishing and continuing a good coordination and collaboration with the case management system and ensuring children, adolescent and other programme participant are received support timely
∎ Analyzing the field situation (from field visit, individual discussion with parents, staffs) to take immediate action and to assist management to take necessary initiatives
∎ Conducting focus group discussion (FGD), interview and documentation etc. and preparing report on Psychosocial Support Services (MHPSS) in timely manner
∎ Supporting the team in taking the visitors and donors from national and international agencies to visit the centre and associated activities (MPC, Adolescent Clubs, SSWG, and so on)
∎ Conducting regular field visit and maintaining a quality implementation of the pogramme activities in a cluster approach
∎ Additionally, taking responsibility of the 24/7 emergency helpline and monitoring and performing any kind of responsibilities assigned by the Supervisor regarding my responsibilities
∎ Supporting in arrangement of different seminar, workshop, training related to the services
∎ Ensure all child protection initiatives align with BRAC’s policies and procedures
∎ Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme's goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so
∎ In order to successfully implement the child protection activities e.g. psychosocial support related activities in the field of HCMP, the position is to ensure effective Psychosocial support, the Psychologist will be responsible for developing material, working on research, providing training and workshop on psychosocial components along with monitoring the activities and providing support through frequent field visits. Additionally, has to participate in meetings, developing curriculum, planning and implementing the activities for beneficiaries.
