Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Oversee the identification and selection of project participants and ensure the information collected for the participants matched with the selection criteria for the project
∎ Prepare and oversee the distribution of agro-inputs and other resources ensuring quality to support the establishment of homestead gardening
∎ Provide support to Technical Assistants and oversee effective implementation of the nutrition and food security component including homestead gardening, nutrition clubs, vermicompost, and seed and seedling producers at the community level
∎ Coordinate with the sector specialist (vegetable gardening) and implement project interventions with technical guidance from them to render the intended benefits to project participants
∎ Support project team members to ensure coordination with the camp and local stakeholders and with the relevant departments for smooth functioning of the project interventions
∎ Facilitate training and recruitment of Community Nutrition Promoters to ensure efficient and effective implementation of the project interventions
∎ Ensure project data are collected and reported as required for analysis and reporting
∎ Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment to enhance team performance and motivation.
∎ Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme's goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
∎ Contribute to the reduction of hunger and malnutrition through increasing productivity of homestead gardening, extend support to nutrition behavior change communication and leveraging health support services from the relevant stakeholders among the host and Rohingya Community at Cox’s Bazar district
