Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Aggregation Center Establishment and linked farmer groups with the aggregation center
∎ Establish horizontal linkage among farmers' groups to strengthen and ensure the supply chain of Agricultural commodities
∎ Play an active role in increasing access of farmers groups with their potential commodities/high-value products to the higher market (to maximize the profit)
∎ Conduct regular market visits, monitor prices, develop price charts and communicate effectively with beneficiaries
∎ Identify relevant market actors and potential enterprises, assess markets, and create detailed value chain maps
∎ Develop and organize market linkage plans to connect pre-identified buyers with producers
∎ Facilitate meetings and workshops with different stakeholders· Integrate producers (beneficiaries) into supply chains and commercial distribution networks to enhance market opportunities
∎ Facilitate the development and expansion of relationships among buyers, input suppliers, and producer groups across crop, fish, poultry, and livestock sectors, promoting value chain and market system development
∎ Establish and strengthen linkages between traders/markets and beneficiaries, enabling producers to access new market opportunities
∎ Ensure regular supply of fresh agricultural commodities of farmers in the camp market
∎ Conduct regular field visits to beneficiary groups and relevant areas to monitor progress and provide support
∎ Prepare and submit field reports to the concerned authority regularly and as required
∎ Perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor/management
∎ Advocate for and implement safeguarding policies and standards among team members in all activities
∎ Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme's goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so
∎ The Senior Project Officer-Market Linkage (On-Farm) is responsible for driving the development of on-farm market systems by fostering strong market linkages, enhancing supply chain efficiency and establishing sustainable commercial distribution networks. This role requires conducting regular market visits, monitoring price trends, and ensuring the continuous integration of producers into the market while adhering to standard procedures and organizational guidelines. The position plays a critical role in empowering producers, improving market access, and promoting economic resilience.
