Responsibilities & Context:
∎ *Production Planning and Control:*
∎ Develop and implement production schedules to meet demand forecasts.
∎ Ensure efficient utilization of resources and minimize downtime.
∎ Oversee inventory management and raw material procurement.
∎ *Process Optimization:*
∎ Continuously assess and improve manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and lower costs.
∎ Implement lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
∎ Quality Assurance:*
∎ Establish and maintain quality control standards to ensure products meet or exceed customer expectations.
∎ Implement quality improvement initiatives and corrective actions for any identified issues.
∎ *Supply Chain Management:*
∎ Manage end-to-end supply chain operations, including procurement, production, warehousing, and distribution.
∎ Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and components.
∎ 5. *Logistics and Distribution:*
∎ Oversee the transportation and distribution of finished goods to customers.
∎ Optimize logistics routes and methods to reduce costs and improve delivery times.
∎ *Team Leadership and Development:*
∎ Lead and mentor the operations team, including production managers, quality control personnel, and logistics staff.
∎ Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
∎ *Safety and Compliance:*
∎ Ensure compliance with industry regulations, health and safety standards, and environmental policies.
∎ Implement safety programs and conduct regular safety audits.
∎ *Performance Monitoring and Reporting:*
∎ Track key performance indicators (KPIs) for production, quality, and logistics.
∎ Prepare regular reports for senior management on operational performance, challenges, and improvements.
∎ *Technology and Innovation:*
∎ Identify and implement new technologies and automation to enhance manufacturing and distribution efficiency.
∎ Stay updated with industry trends and innovations.
∎ *Risk Management:*
∎ Identify potential risks in the production and distribution processes and develop mitigation strategies.
∎ Ensure business continuity plans are in place and regularly updated.
∎ *Strategic Planning:*
∎ Contribute to the development of the company's strategic goals and align operational strategies accordingly.
∎ Participate in long-term planning for capacity expansion, product development, and market growth.
