• Strong knowledge of BOQ preparation, costing and contract documents

• Proficient in MS Excel, AutoCAD and estimation software

• Excellent analytical and numerical skills

• Strong communication and teamwork abilities

• Strong knowledge with local construction norms (BNBC) and Rate Schedule (PWD, LGED, RHD, etc.)

The incumbent at Civil department is responsible for preparing accurate Bills of Quantities (BOQ), cost estimates and financial reports to support effective project planning and execution. This role ensures cost control and resource optimization in all stages of civil construction projects.

1. Develop detailed BOQ from project drawings and technical documents

2. Prepare cost estimates covering materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor services

3. Conduct cost analysis for budgeting, tendering, and forecasting

4. Support tender document preparation and bid evaluations

5. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and site teams to gather construction data

6. Visit sites to verify actual progress vs. BOQ

7. Analyze and manage variations and change orders

8. Generate cost and progress reports for internal and client use

9. Submit accurate monthly budgets and progress reports

10. Explore alternatives building materials to cost optimization
