Position Overview:

The Senior Auditor will play a pivotal role in strengthening RDRS Bangladesh's governance, risk management, and internal control systems by carrying out independent, objective, and risk-based audits across the organization. The position is responsible for assessing compliance with RDRS's policies.

procedures and applicable local laws and regulations, as well as donor requirements. The role is also responsible for assessing the effectiveness and efficiency of operations, reliability of financial and operational information, and safeguarding of RDRS's resources and providing recommendations for continuous improvement. The role requires frequent field visits, strong analytical and communication skills, and report writing skills—in Bangla. and English, as well as a high level of integrity, confidentiality, and professional ethics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out internal audit as per approved audit plan and program

  • Make monthly visits to RDRS project offices to ensure proper financial and operational management.

  • Verify accounting records, financial transactions, and supporting documents for accuracy, authenticity, and adherence to RDRS policies and procedures.

  • Assess compliance with applicable local laws and regulations, including VAT, tax, MRA, NGOAB, and other statutory requirements.

  • Assess compliance with provisions outlined in RDRS’s various manuals, including Finance, HR, Microfinance, procurement, etc., and donor requirements

  • Carry out random visits of the RDRS Microfinance program at branches and field-level operations to detect irregularities, including errors, fraud, and misappropriation of resources.

  • Carry out periodic/random verification of fixed assets and inventories across the head office, project offices, field offices, and other locations.

  • Carry out investigations assigned by the authority.

  • Ensure that RDRS-owned resources are properly recorded, protected, and efficiently used.

  • Prepare and submit reports to the management in a timely, accurate, and appropriately documented manner.

  • Maintain audit working files in an appropriate manner.

  • Recommend preventive and corrective measures based on audit observation and follow up on the implementation status of the past internal and external audit recommendations.

  • Perform any other tasks assigned by the Internal Audit Coordinator or managemen
