Educational Requirements:
∎ Master's degree in Law or relevant discipline.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Develop planning relating to the advocacy activities of SCG.
∎ Work with gender-diverse CBOs to support them in developing their advocacy agenda and overseeing the rollout of activities in the field.
∎ Develop an advocacy strategy for the SCG project and outline ways to engage with stakeholders at different levels of government.
∎ Support evidence generation to build transformative policy advocacy for GDCs.
∎ Initiate advocacy activities and develop plans for events including workshops, seminars, international conferences, policy dialogue, webinars, etc.
∎ Maintained liaison with the unit offices and other departments of BLAST.
∎ Maintain liaison between national and international networks, media, and civil society.
∎ Hold regional events e.g. workshops/meetings/seminars in collaboration with International/Regional Organizations.
∎ Liaise with different development agencies and other partners and donors.
∎ Prepare reports and briefings for donors concerning advocacy.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 30 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ A minimum of 4 years of experience in Legal Aid/ social development projects, concerning the GDC empowerment projects, may prefer.
∎ Prior experience working on human rights issues, implementing policies, and communicating with national and international networks.
∎ Coordination with other projects with respect to their advocacy and policy components.
∎ Experience in Documentation in both Bangla and English.
∎ Knowledge of the application of different software.
∎ Experience in working with PNGO activity monitoring skills will be preferred.
∎ Good written and oral communication skills in English and Bangla, including writing monthly reports and presenting coherent and convincing messages to different audiences.
∎ Work experience in gender-diverse communities GDC preferred.
∎ Punctual and good at time management and strong relationship-building skills.
∎ Proven experience in the application of advocacy activities.
∎ Ability to represent the organization’s views in public meetings.
∎ Understanding of protection issues facing our beneficiaries.
∎ Excellent interpersonal communication skills and persuasiveness, both internally and externally.
∎ Excellent communication skills in Bangla and English.
∎ Good computer knowledge especially in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, should also be good in email communication.
