Additional Requirements:
  • Age At least 25 years
  • At least 3 years of experience in the relevant field in national/international NGOs is preferable.

  • Proficiency in budget formats in Excel or any other standard financial management program will be a plus point.

  • Sound knowledge and understanding of qualitative and quantitative assessment techniques.

  • Strong communication skills and proven experience in interpreting information and report writing in Bangla and English.

  • Capacity to work independently and under pressure.

  • Good computer knowledge is essential, especially in MS Word, Excel, and Accounting Software (Tally). The candidate should also be skilled at email communication.



Responsibilities & Context:

Job Context: The Accounts and Administrative Officer implements the project budget and ensures financial requirements. S/he is accountable for the donor`s compliance requirements and regulations and agrees with BLAST`s documents. The incumbent will review and check the relevant documents of project activities.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Document financial transactions by entering account information and secure financial information by completing database backups.

  • Maintain accounts and prepare guidelines for project monitoring. 

  • Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.

  • Prepare payments by verifying documentation and requesting disbursements.

  • Ensure appropriate documentation, record keeping, and accounting systems in the recommended software, complying with the project’s IMS and financial guidelines.

  • Appraise, evaluate, and maintain the real property and equipment inventory, recording information such as the property`s description, value, and location. 

  • Facilitate the process of approval of bills & vouchers as per budget line items.

  • Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.

  • Prepare monthly/quarterly/half-yearly/yearly financial reports in a proper time and proper way.

  • Provide all sorts of administrative support to Project Staff.

  • Keep the office files in proper order and make updated filing systems in consultation with the Project Focal.

  • Maintaining and updating employees’ personnel files (filing, collecting required documents from personnel).

  • Maintaining and updating the attendance register, leave register, movement register, etc.

  • Following up on the instructions of the Head Office and the District Project Officer/Unit Coordinator.

  • Performing all other duties as and when required.
