1. Clinical Care and Nursing Services
Provide first aid and basic medical treatment for minor illnesses and injuries.
Conduct routine health assessments and monitor the physical well-being of children.
Administer prescribed medications and treatments according to medical instructions.
Monitor children recovering from illness and maintain follow-up care.
Identify signs of medical emergencies and take appropriate action.
2. Health Screening and Monitoring
Conduct regular health check-ups, including measuring vital signs and monitoring growth and development.
Maintain individual health records for all children.
Track immunization status and support vaccination initiatives.
Observe and report any communicable diseases or health concerns.
3. Emergency Response and Referral
Provide emergency medical assistance when required.
Arrange referrals to hospitals, clinics, or specialist physicians for advanced care.
Accompany children to healthcare facilities when necessary.
Coordinate follow-up treatment and maintain communication with healthcare providers.
4. Medication and Medical Supplies Management
Maintain an organized inventory of medicines, first aid supplies, and medical equipment.
Ensure medicines are stored safely and within their expiry dates.
Record medication administration accurately.
Assist in preparing requests for medical supplies and equipment.
5. Health Education and Prevention
Conduct health awareness sessions on hygiene, nutrition, disease prevention, puberty, reproductive health, and healthy lifestyles.
Educate children and caregivers on personal hygiene and sanitation practices.
Promote preventive healthcare measures within the shelter and education programs.
6. Documentation and Reporting
Maintain confidential and accurate medical records.
Prepare monthly reports on health services, illnesses, referrals, and treatments provided.
Document incidents, accidents, and emergency interventions.
Support data collection for donor and organizational reporting requirements.
7. Coordination and Collaboration
Work closely with social workers, education staff, counselors, and caregivers to ensure holistic support for children.
Coordinate with local hospitals, clinics, laboratories, and public health agencies.
Support health camps, medical outreach activities, and awareness campaigns organized by the organization.
8. Child Protection and Safeguarding
Ensure all healthcare services are delivered in accordance with the organization’s Child Protection and Safeguarding Policy.
Respect the dignity, privacy, and confidentiality of every child.
Report any safeguarding concerns through established organizational procedures.
