Experience:
Minimum 5 to 7 years of professional experience in the NGO sector, with at least 3 years of direct experience as a Project Manager in Human Rights, Youth Empowerment, or Social Inclusion projects.
Proven experience in conducting trainings/workshops on conflict transformation, non-violent communication, and gender justice.
Excellent professional communication, representation, and documentation/report-writing skills in both English and Bangla.
Strong computer skills (MS Office, internet, and remote communication tools).
Must possess a valid motorcycle driving license and be willing to ride in remote field areas.
Prior experience with BMZ or NETZ-funded projects will be highly preferred.
Age Limit: Maximum 45 years. However, age and educational qualifications may be relaxed for highly experienced candidates.

Anandalok Trust for Education and Development, a charitable and non-profit organization registered in 2017, aims to develop enlightened, critically aware and skilled human resources for a more humane, equitable and just society in Bangladesh. Anandalok Trust is going to implement a project titled "Empowering young and adult multipliers for advancing human rights, gender equality and social inclusion in Bangladesh" (short: AHIMSA) supported by Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and NETZ Partnership for Development and Justice. The project will be implemented in Jhenaidah and Kushtia districts. Anandalok Trust is looking for a highly transparent, meticulous, and professional individual for the following position:
Job Nature: Full-time (Contractual); Reportable to Project Manager (with technical reporting to Finance Director).
Job Location: Jhenaidah (with required travel to field offices and central office in Dhaka)
Responsibility:
The Project Accountant will be overall responsible for financial management, accounting operations, budget monitoring, and financial compliance of the AHIMSA project. He/She will ensure strict adherence to organization, donor (BMZ/NETZ), and Government rules (VAT, Income Tax, NGO Affairs Bureau). The role includes maintaining account books, processing advances, reviewing field expenses, preparing cash/bank compliance records, and drafting final financial statements for internal and external Chartered Accountant (CA) audits.
Specific Responsibilities (Core Duties & Financial Compliance):
Maintain day-to-day project accounts, ledger entries, cash/bank books, and financial transactions using professional accounting software or standardized registers.
Ensure all project expenses are fully supported by authentic, verified, and complete bills, vouchers, and approvals before processing any payment.
Monitor budget variances, track monthly/quarterly expenditures against the approved project budget, and issue early alert reports to the Project Manager.
Ensure strict compliance with National Tax laws, including accurate calculation, deduction, and timely deposit of Income Tax and VAT (TDS/VDS) to the government treasury.
Review, verify, and reconcile advance payments and field activity expenses submitted by Area Coordinators and other staff.
Prepare high-quality monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, fund utilization reports, and bank reconciliation reports for donor (NETZ/BMZ) submission.
Organize, preserve, and archive all financial records systematically to ensure full readiness for annual external Chartered Accountant (CA) audits and donor evaluations.
Manage project payroll, staff provident funds (PF), and petty cash compliance according to institutional policies.
Strictly uphold and implement the organization's transparency, financial integrity, and safeguarding guidelines across all procurement and financial networks.
Salary & Benefits:
Monthly Gross Salary: 50,000 BDT including PF.
Festival Bonus: 01 per fiscal year (pro-rata basis) equivalent to one month's gross salary.
Gratuity: 01 per fiscal year as per organizational rules equivalent to one month's gross salary.
Other Benefits: Fringe benefits as per institutional policies.
