Experience:
Preferably in Development Studies, Social Sciences, International Relations, English, Anthropology, Communications, Business Administration, Public Administration or a related field from a recognized university.
Experience Requirements:
At least 3 years of experience in project proposal writing in the NGO/INGO sector.
Familiarity with institutional donors such as USAID, UNICEF, UNDP, the European Union, and other development partners will be an advantage.
Required Skills:
Sound knowledge of writing project proposals, concept notes, grant applications, and donor communications to support the organization`s fundraising and partnership objectives.
Knowledge of proposal development processes and donor compliance requirements.
Experience with logical frameworks, results-based management, and project design.
Ability to work under tight deadlines.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Experience with donor portals and online grant submission systems
Sound knowledge of the organizational values, gender equality, child protection, and safeguarding policies
Commitment to promoting positive image and visibility of the organization

Good Neighbors (1991) is an international humanitarian, development and non-governmental organization with membership in General Consultative Status in the United Nations Economic and Social Council (UN ECOSOC). Winner of MDG 2 award 2007 and UNESCO-Hamdan Prize for Teacher Development 2024, Good Neighbors Bangladesh (GNB) is operating 17 Community Development Projects (CDP) in 13 districts for child protection, education, health, women empowerment, income generating activities, DRR and Rohingya emergency response activities.
The Project Proposal Writer will be responsible for researching, writing, editing, and coordinating high-quality proposals, concept notes, grant applications, and donor reports to secure funding and partnership opportunities for the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Proposal Development
Research funding opportunities from foundations, bilateral donors, multilateral agencies, corporations, and international NGOs.
Develop high-quality concept notes, grant proposals, expressions of interest (EOIs), and funding applications.
Coordinate proposal development processes across departments.
Ensure proposals align with organizational strategy, donor priorities, and project objectives.
Prepare logical frameworks, theories of change, work plans, and results frameworks.
Donor Research and Intelligence
Identify and analyze potential donors and funding opportunities.
Maintain a database of donors, funding opportunities, and submission deadlines.
Monitor donor trends, priorities, and funding mechanisms.
Coordination and Information Gathering
Liaise with program, finance, M&E, and technical teams to collect necessary information.
Coordinate budget development with finance staff.
Facilitate proposal review meetings and internal approvals.
Writing and Editing
Write clear, persuasive, and donor-compliant narratives.
Edit and proofread proposals, reports, and donor communications.
Ensure consistency in language, formatting, branding, and messaging.
Compliance and Quality Assurance
Review donor guidelines and ensure compliance with submission requirements.
Ensure all supporting documents are complete and submitted on time.
Maintain proposal templates, organizational profiles, and capability statements.
Reporting and Documentation
Support preparation of donor reports and project updates.
Maintain proposal records and submission tracking systems.
Archive successful and unsuccessful proposals for future reference.
Consolidated remuneration Tk. 60,000 (per month).

Probation Period: 06 months (Job confirmation/ extension of probation period /Job discontinuation based on performance evaluation of the probation period)
