Experience:
Master's degree in Gender Studies, Sociology, Social Work, Public Policy, Urban or Transport Planning, Public Health or a related field.
At least 8 years of relevant experience with a Master's degree, or 10 years with a Bachelor's degree, delivering Gender Equality, Disability and Social Inclusion in government or development assignments in Bangladesh.
Proven facilitation of consultations and focus groups with women, youth, elderly people and organizations of persons with disabilities, with strong Bangla and English drafting skills.
Experience preparing inclusion action plans, training and communication materials, and monitoring templates or notes.
Additional Requirements:
The applicants should have experience in gender and social inclusion, disability inclusion, stakeholder consultation and facilitation, and inclusive policy drafting.
Completion of at least one gender or disability analysis with practical recommendations in transport, urban development, health or social protection is required.
Fluency in English (written and spoken), working proficiency in Bangla and computer literacy are required.
Support development of a gender, disability and social-inclusion strategy for a national road-safety or transport-sector assignment in Bangladesh.
Conduct gender and disability analysis with practical recommendations relevant to the road-transport and road-safety sector.
Organize and document consultations and focus group discussions with women's groups, organizations of persons with disabilities, civil-society organizations, women, youth, elderly people and other vulnerable road users.
Develop inclusion indicators and reporting templates, including perceived safety and accessibility measures, for incorporation into strategy, action-planning and monitoring frameworks.
Prepare concise inclusion action plans, training and communication materials, and practical monitoring templates and notes.
Provide inputs to policy, rules and statutory instruments to strengthen protection of vulnerable road users and persons with disabilities.
Support stakeholder workshops to ensure gender and disability considerations are reflected in institutional review, strategy, action planning and reform options.
Any other gender- and disability-related activity required for the assignment.
