Experience

• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience. 15+ years preferred, including 5+ years at head, director, CTO/CIO or chief architect level.

• A proven track record across OEMs, distributors and system integrators, in Bangladesh or internationally. Experience on both sides, as a vendor/integrator and as an enterprise ICT head (for example at a bank or telecom operator), is a strong advantage.

• Designed, won and delivered large national projects, such as national or government data centers, central bank or commercial bank DC/DR, telecom core networks, defense, security and law-enforcement agencies, hospitals, universities and donor-funded projects. A portfolio of BDT 50 crore+ is preferred.

• Delivered at least one very large multi-site network (500+ sites, for example DMVPN, MPLS or SD-WAN) and at least one Tier III / Rated-3 or higher data center with DR.

• Hands-on experience with e-GP and enterprise tenders, including writing technical RFPs, evaluating vendors, bidding, technical documents and project management.

• Banking domain exposure (core-banking migration, Bangladesh Bank ICT guidelines) and telecom domain exposure (GSM/core data network, ICX, BTRC compliance) are strong advantages.

• At least 5 years leading technical or presales teams, with responsibility for sales targets.

• International project or training experience (South and South-East Asia or beyond) is preferred.

Certifications — Required (Mandatory)

• Expert-level networking: Cisco CCIE (Enterprise Infrastructure, Data Center, Security or Service Provider) or CCDE, or an equivalent expert certification (Huawei HCIE-Datacom / Data Center, Juniper JNCIE)

• Professional-level network and data center: CCNP Data Center and CCNP Enterprise, or Huawei HCIP-Datacom and HCIP-Data Center Network

• Security, professional level: CCNP Security, Palo Alto PCNSE, Fortinet FCSS or CISSP, plus CEH (current version) or OSCP

• Data center facility: CDCP or higher (CDCS / CDCE or Uptime Institute ATD/ATS)

• Project management: PMP (certified). Training alone is not enough.

• All certifications must be current and active. Candidates must provide verification IDs or digital badges (Credly or the OEM portal). Retired or expired certifications will not be counted.

• Virtualization and systems: VMware VCP-VCF (Cloud Foundation), Nutanix NCP-MCI, Microsoft Azure Administrator (AZ-104), Red Hat RHCE

• Cloud: AWS Solutions Architect Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, GCP Professional Cloud Architect

• Advanced data center: CDCE, Uptime Institute ATD/ATS/AOS, BICSI RCDD, structured-cabling OEM design certifications

• Advanced security and governance: CISSP, CISM, CISA, ISO/IEC 27001:2022 Lead Implementer/Auditor, CCSP (ISC2 Cloud Security), SIEM/SOAR/XDR vendor certifications

• Other OEMs: Cisco CCIE Enterprise Wireless / Service Provider, Juniper JNCIP, Arista ACE, HPE Aruba Networking professional-level, Fortinet FCX, Palo Alto (Prisma SASE / Cortex XSIAM)

• AI: NVIDIA-Certified Professional (AI Infrastructure / AI Networking), Cisco AI infrastructure certifications, AWS / Azure / Google Cloud AI certifications

• Management: ITIL 4, PRINCE2, TOGAF Standard 10 (enterprise architecture), COBIT 2019

• Training advantage: OEM trainings abroad (for example Cisco, Huawei, VMware, NVIDIA or hyperscaler cloud programs), strategic account management, and sales leadership or management.

Skills

• Deep solution architecture skills across network, data center, cloud, security and AI

• Experience in ICT strategy, IT governance and technology roadmaps at CTO/CIO level

• Excellent Visio design, BoQ, SoW and proposal writing. AutoCAD (DC layouts) and lab tools (EVE-NG / GNS3) are a plus.

• Strong negotiation and commercial skills, confident at board and CXO level

• Excellent written and spoken English and Bangla

• Hands-on experience building with AI is a strong advantage

• Willing to travel within Bangladesh and abroad

Role Overview: We are looking for a Chief Solutions Architect to be the company’s top technical authority on large, complex projects for government, defense and security agencies, telecom, banking, healthcare, education and enterprise customers. You will study tenders and requirements and design the best solution, or a better alternative. You will choose the right OEMs, negotiate with them and help win the bid. You will also make sure the solution is delivered as designed across the country. We also expect strong AI knowledge: designing AI-ready infrastructure, and using AI to work faster and smarter.
Location: Dhaka (Hybrid), nationwide travel
Reports to: CEO/Managing Director
Key Responsibilities
1. Solution Architecture & Tenders

• Study RFPs, RFQs, EOIs and e-GP tender documents under the Public Procurement Act and Rules, including donor-funded projects (World Bank, ADB, JICA and others).

• Run requirement workshops and site surveys. Prepare requirement documents, BoQs/BoMs, technical specifications, compliance sheets, SoWs and professional services estimates.

• Design complete solutions with HLD and LLD documents and Visio architecture diagrams, covering capacity, high availability, DR, security and scalability.

• Propose alternative and value-engineered solutions with clear trade-offs in cost, performance and risk.

• Lead technical proposals, PoCs, product demos and presentations to evaluation committees and CXOs.

2. Technology Areas

• Networks: routing and switching, SP and enterprise networks, IP/MPLS, BGP/OSPF/IS-IS, optical/DWDM, fiber backbone, SD-WAN/SDN, campus LAN, enterprise wireless/WLAN, and multi-branch networks across the country.

• Data center and DR: national and enterprise data centers, Tier III/IV (TIA-942 / Uptime), modular and prefabricated data centers, DC fabric (Nexus/ACI, Huawei CloudFabric, VXLAN/EVPN), Cisco UCS and other compute, power, cooling, DCIM, and DR replication and failover.

• Structured cabling: copper and fiber, intelligent infrastructure management (CommScope/SYSTIMAX iPatch or similar), and cabling for large campuses and buildings.

• Compute and storage: VMware vSphere, Hyper-V, Nutanix, SAN/NAS (IBM, Dell EMC, HPE, Huawei, NetApp) and enterprise backup.

• Cloud: hybrid and public cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP, Oracle), migration and sovereign cloud.

• Security: NGFW and NGIPS (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco, Check Point), WAF, SIEM/SOAR/SOC, EDR/XDR, MSSP design, DLP, PAM, NAC, zero trust and vulnerability assessment. Compliance with Bangladesh Bank ICT guidelines and ISO 27001.

• Unified communications and building systems: IP telephony, IP contact center/IVR, video conferencing, CCTV and surveillance, access control, and PA systems.

• Core infrastructure services: AD, DNS, DHCP, M365 and load balancers.

3. AI & Innovation

• Design AI-ready infrastructure: GPU servers and clusters, AI networking (InfiniBand / RoCE), high-density power and liquid cooling, and AI storage.

• Advise customers on AI use cases such as private LLMs, AIOps, security analytics and automation.

• Use AI tools in daily work: tender analysis, BoQ and proposal drafting, and design checks.

• Build internal AI tools and automations that make the team faster and more accurate.

4. OEMs, Distributors & Partners

• Choose the best OEMs and components for each solution based on technology, cost, local support, lead time and track record.

• Build senior-level relationships with global OEMs (Cisco, Huawei, Juniper, Arista, Nokia, HPE/Aruba, Dell, IBM, NVIDIA, Palo Alto, Fortinet, CommScope, Schneider, Vertiv, VMware, Nutanix, Microsoft, AWS and others) and with their distributors.

• Negotiate special pricing, deal registration, MAF, back-to-back support, licensing, AMC and SLAs.

• Build OEM business plans for the Bangladesh market and keep partner tier status and specializations current.

5. Presales & Business Growth

• Work with account managers from qualifying an opportunity to closing it. Support quarterly sales plans, forecasts and revenue targets.

• Own costing, pricing, margin analysis and TCO/ROI models.

• Run technology workshops, events and solution showcases that create new business.

• Track competitors and market trends in Bangladesh and internationally.

6. Technical Oversight of Delivery

• Act as design authority during nationwide rollouts: implementation planning, FAT/SAT, integration and acceptance.

• Solve critical technical escalations and make sure solutions are delivered as designed.

• Mentor architects and engineers, and set design standards, templates and a proposal library.
