Skill and Competencies:

  • Should have valid A or B category registration number from Bangladesh Pharmacy Council.

  • Excellent communication skills and desire to learn.

  • Flexible, highly committed & motivated to work in remote locations, specially in riverine areas.

  • Good computer operating knowledge specially MS Office, email with typing speed at least 25wpm.



Responsibilities & Context:

Responsibilities:

  • Dispense of right medicines to right persons

  • Keeping patient treatment record confident

  • Counseling

  • Stock management

  • Maintain bin card for product

  • Preparing medicine purchase requisition in timely manner

  • Reporting/maintain checklist

Activities:

  • Dispensing correct medicine in correct quantity and quality to the patients as prescribed by the doctors.

  • Counselling and giving basic information about the medicines to the outdoor patients.

  • Write medicine’s instruction clearly and make it understandable to patient.

  • Maintaining pharmacy stock register.

  • Monitor expiry date of medicine and ensure no expiry medicines are dispatched.

  • Prepare near expiry and expiry report monthly basis.

  • Maintain bin card

  • Prepare monthly/quarterly purchase requisition and ensure product inhouse before stock out.

  • Raise stock to the software and do periodic stock inventory.

  • Organizing medicines in the shelf according to priority and practice for easy dispatch and reduce expiry.

  • Maintain pharmacy refrigerator temperature monitoring checklist and preserve.

  • Reporting daily check and balance and report to in-charge.

  • Maintain departmental quality checklist including temperature monitoring checklist.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Maintain a central stock of pharmacy items.

  • Participation in BCC, Counselling & Health education.

  • Periodic checking for short-dated medicines and provide report.

  • Conduct periodic stock audit for pharmacy specially fast-moving and slow- moving items.

  • Any work assigned by supervisor/line manager.

  • Appropriately follow safeguarding and code of conduct policy.
