Educational Requirements:
∎ Masters in Social Science especially in Sociology/ Social work/ Gender studies/ Psychology/ Anthropology/ Population Science from reputed university with all second class/ division or equivalent GPA/ CGPA 2.00 in all academic examinations
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 2 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Conduct training need assessment (TNA) and facilitate gender training and capacity building activities
∎ Develop and review training materials (Handout, Module, Manual, IEC & BCC) for Gender training, workshop and Forum
∎ Visit and follow up of branch offices to ensure gender responsive work environment
∎ Communicate with responsive programme management to organise different workshop, discussion and dialogs on organisational gender priorities
∎ Maintain liaison with local level programme management (RM, AM, DM, DBR etc.) related to Gender equality activities
∎ Ensure GJ&D participation in District Programme Coordination (DPC) and other organisation level combine forums/ meetings to raise gender responsive work environment issue
∎ Organise and ensure celebration of special days and events on gender, women and human rights national and international days
∎ Form and follow up SHRT (Sexual Harassment Redresser Team) activity and ensure necessary support
∎ Follow up and carry on FD-6 activities, maintain liaison with DBR and local government institutes to participate as a gender focal person
∎ Prepare monthly action plan and periodic progress report
∎ Support other unit's activities for knowledge management, M&E and integration as a focal and disseminate communication materials on workplace gender equality actions
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the safeguarding goals while action as a key source of support, guidance and expertise for establishing a safe working environment in accordance to its reporting procedures. Practice, promote encourage and endorse the safeguarding policy and implementation standards among team members in case of any reportable incident
Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 2 years experiences of work in gender and women empowerment. Experience and/ or capacity as a trainer/ facilitator
∎ Have excellence knowledge in Social Science specially focusing on Gender and women empowerment.
∎ Good Understanding on organisation's goals and objectives
∎ Strong Understanding on GJ&D's goals and objectives and BRAC gender strategy
∎ Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in and with teams
∎ Have cross-cultural sensitivity
∎ Have quality on leadership and supportive supervision
∎ Excellent skills as a facilitator
