Responsibilities & Context:
  • Business Development: Design and implement the annual sales plan for the Industry & Energy division in the Chittagong region.

  • Sales Inquiry Generation: Proactively generate inquiries for 3rd Party Inspection Services (Lifting Equipment Inspection, Mechanical QA/QC, NDT Inspection, Pressure Vessel & Boiler Inspection, Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI), Environmental Testing, Calibration Services) following TUVAT BIC Company Handbook policies. Use various methods such as introductory letters, emails, phone calls, social media networks, personal contacts, yellow pages, chambers of commerce, and associations to approach potential clients to engage potential clients in industries requiring inspection services.

  • Meeting Sales Targets: Achieve monthly sales targets by identifying new business opportunities and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients, focusing on the inspection services.

  • Proposals and Contract Agreements: Dispatch only those proposals and contract agreements approved by the Line Manager to the concerned clients, ensuring compliance with company standards.

  • Client Lead Generation and Feedback: Generate new client leads specifically for inspection services. Provide prompt and effective feedback to clients’ inquiries, enhancing customer satisfaction and trust.

  • Compliance with Policies and Procedures: Maintain strict adherence to all company policies and procedures, with a special focus on compliance with requirements and information security standards.

  • Annual Sales Plan: Assist the Line Manager in the design and implementation of the annual sales plan for the company, contributing to strategic sales initiatives and goals.

  • Sales Database Management: Help develop and administer a comprehensive sales database, including client-related information, mailing lists, and contact details, to support effective sales activities and client management.

  • Inquiry Log Maintenance: Maintain a detailed log of all inquiries related to inspection services & ensuring transparency and effective tracking of sales activities.

  • Industry Contacts Development: Build and maintain contacts within industries that frequently require inspection services, such as various ongoing construction projects, Mega Projects, Power Plants, Oil & Gas, and RMG sector in Chittagong to identify potential clients.

  • Preliminary Documentation: Prepare and submit the necessary documentation for inspection services, applications, including inquiry forms, proposals, and contract agreements.

  • Client Communication: Communicate any unforeseen delays or issues in the inspection process to clients promptly, maintaining a high level of service integrity and client trust.

  • Training and Development: Engage in continuous learning about inspection services, regulations, and market trends to enhance professional expertise and service quality.

  • Market and Competitor Analysis: Conduct thorough market and competitor analyses to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges in the inspection services.

  • Coordination with International Offices: Work closely with international offices and partners to align Pre-Shipment Inspection processes with global standards and practices, ensuring seamless service delivery.

  • Expense Management: Monitor and record all expenses related to the planning and execution of inspection services to maintain budgetary control.

  • Additional Responsibilities: Undertake any other tasks as assigned by the Line Manager, showing flexibility and adaptability in the role.
