∎ Organization Description: BLAST is the leading national legal aid and human rights organization in Bangladesh with its key activities being legal advice,mediation and litigation including public interest litigation, advocacy and research. It focuses on ensuring the rights of those living in poverty and facing discrimination or social exclusion. It works through its Head Office in Dhaka and 19 District level offices.
∎ Position Description: BLAST is currently undertaking a research project on the compensation framework for workplace injuries and deaths under the Bangladesh Labour Act 2006. The research will primarily entail a review of BLAST`s internal records of compensation cases filed before the Labour Court between 2008 and 2018, to identify common trends and hurdles that claimants have to face when seeking compensation for workplace injuries and deaths.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 21 years
∎ Publication,clear Knowledge of research methodology, proposal writing and proofing will be given preference.
∎ Priority will be given to the physically disabled candidates.
Salary: Tk. 20000 (Monthly)

∎ Costs in relation to field work will be borne by the organization according to its rules.
