Experience:
Minimum Bachelor’s degree in any relevant field from a reputed institute.
Age limit: 35 years (age limit will be relaxed in case of the potential candidate).
At least 3–5 years of relevant experience in Rohingya Response in humanitarian ground or development organizations.
Technical Skills
Experience with registration databases, reporting trackers, or humanitarian information management systems is an asset.
Ability to manage records, files, and documentation (both physical and digital).
Ability to operate office equipment such as printers and scanners and support routine administrative tasks.
Soft Skills
Good communication skills in Bangla and English.
Ability to coordinate with staff, vendors, and partners effectively.
Organized, responsible, and able to manage routine tasks independently.
Capable of working under pressure in a field-based operational environment.
Experience:
Experience working with donor-funded projects (UNHCR preferred) will be an asset.

Red Cross - Red Crescent (RCRC) Movement is the largest volunteer organization in the world. Bangladesh Red Crescent Society (BDRCS) is a national society of the Movement, constituted on 31 March 1973 by the President's Order No. 26 with retrospective effect from 16 December 1971. This is the biggest humanitarian organization in Bangladesh. As an auxiliary to the government in the Disaster Management field, BDRCS has provided humanitarian assistance to vulnerable people over the last 50+ years and has undertaken a wide range of activities in humanitarian response, disaster management, health, capacity building, Population movement/ displacement, and promoting Red Cross/ Red Crescent ideals and principles.
Currently, the Bangladesh Red Crescent Society is looking for suitable Bangladeshi candidates for the following positions in its Bhasan Char Operation (BCO):
Duration of contract: Initially up to 30th September 2026 (with the possibility of extension).
Reporting to: Director, Bhasan Char Operation.
Duty station: Bhasan Char Island under Chittagong.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Provide technical guidance and programme support for registration-related activities under the Bhasan Char Operation, ensuring alignment with BDRCS objectives and UNHCR standards.
Support planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of registration and programme activities, ensuring timely delivery in line with approved workplans and humanitarian principles.
Coordinate closely with UNHCR Registration, Protection, and Field teams, as well as relevant government counterparts, to ensure harmonized and efficient registration processes.
Ensure registration activities adhere to standard operating procedures (SOPs), data protection principles, and accountability standards.
Maintain and update UNHCR agreed registration-related databases, trackers, and reporting tools, ensuring data accuracy and timely submission to UNHCR and BDRCS management.
Support programme coordination across sectors by facilitating communication and information flow between BDRCS teams, UNHCR, CiC office, and humanitarian partners operating in Bhasan Char.
Assist in needs assessments, data verification exercises, and population movements tracking in coordination with relevant stakeholders.
Prepare and contribute to monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc reports, including registration updates, situation reports, coordination briefs, and donor-required documentation, e.g., Population Movement/ family visit trends report.
Participate in and represent BDRCS in sectoral, inter-agency, and coordination meetings, sharing updates on registration and programme progress.
Support emergency preparedness and response activities, ensuring continuity of registration services during emergencies and sudden influx or relocation scenarios.
Facilitate contingency planning related to registration and coordination functions for risks such as cyclones, flooding, and fire incidents.
Support monitoring and quality assurance of registration activities, identifying gaps and recommending corrective actions.
Assist in organizing training and capacity-building activities for staff and volunteers on registration procedures, coordination mechanisms, and information management.
Support donor visits, delegations, and coordination missions, ensuring proper briefing materials and operational updates are available.
Support the functionality and readiness of registration sites, including coordination on equipment use, basic maintenance follow-up , and adherence to safety and security protocols
Coordinate with BDRCS Logistics and relevant support units to facilitate timely availability of materials and supplies required for registration activities.
Provide coordination, orientation, and technical guidance to BDRCS staff and refugee volunteers involved in registration activities to support effective service delivery.
Support UNHCR in the planning and organization of registration activities, including contribution to activity planning and budget monitoring as required.
Ensure compliance with humanitarian principles, organizational policies, and accountability to affected populations, including feedback and response mechanisms.
Perform any other duties assigned by the line manager to support effective programme implementation and coordination at Bhasan Char.
Salary Range: Up to BDT. 70,000/- (Monthly Consolidated).
