Red Cross - Red Crescent (RCRC) Movement is the largest volunteer organization in the world. Bangladesh Red Crescent Society (BDRCS) is a national society of the Movement, constituted on 31 March 1973 by the President's Order No. 26 with retrospective effect from 16 December 1971. This is the biggest humanitarian organization in Bangladesh. As an auxiliary to the government in the Disaster Management field, BDRCS has provided humanitarian assistance to vulnerable people over the last 50+ years and has undertaken a wide range of activities in humanitarian response, disaster management, health, capacity building, Population movement/ displacement, and promoting Red Cross/ Red Crescent ideals and principles.
Currently, the Bangladesh Red Crescent Society is looking for suitable Bangladeshi candidates for the following positions in its Myanmar Refugee Relief Operation (MRRO):
Duration of contract: Initially up to 30th September 2026 (with the possibility of extension).
Reporting to: Director, Myanmar Refugee Relief Operation (MRRO).
Duty station: MRRO, Cox’s Bazar, Chittagong.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Finance Responsibilities
Support financial management of project activities in line with approved budgets, BDRCS financial rules, and donor requirements.
Verify bills, vouchers, and supporting documents received from project staff to ensure compliance with approved budgets and financial procedures.
Maintain proper records of expenditures, including cash books, vouchers, and supporting documents (hard and soft copies).
Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual financial reports and cash requests.
Support bank transactions, cash management, daily cash balance reporting, and bank reconciliations.
Assist in salary and honorarium payments to staff, volunteers, community workers, and other personnel as approved.
Support internal and external audits by ensuring proper documentation and timely response to audit queries.
Maintain fixed asset registers and stock registers for project assets.
Administrative Responsibilities
Provide day-to-day administrative support to project teams for smooth implementation of activities.
Ensure proper documentation, filing, and record-keeping of administrative and financial documents.
Maintain and regularly update staff and volunteers' contact lists.
Ensure office equipment, furniture, and facilities remain functional and properly maintained.
Facilitate meetings, workshops, and conferences by arranging venue, logistics, and related administrative support.
Support preparation of work plans in coordination with the project team.
Logistics and Procurement Responsibilities
Support procurement of goods and services in accordance with BDRCS procurement policies and procedures.
Assist in the preparation of tender notices, circulation of invitations, bid documentation, and procurement records.
Ensure quality and quantity of procured items as per specifications and agreements.
Support warehouse and inventory management, including stock tracking, documentation, and reporting.
Coordinate transportation and logistics arrangements for project activities.
Travel and Vehicle Management
Support all travel-related arrangements for staff and visitors, including ticket booking, hotel reservations, and transport arrangements.
Prepare vehicle movement plans/rosters and coordinate driver deployment.
Ensure timely vehicle maintenance, insurance, fitness, and updating of vehicle-related documents.
Perform any other duties assigned by the line manager in support of project objectives.
Salary Range: Up to BDT. 45,000/- (Monthly Consolidated).
