Experience

  • Minimum 5–8 years of hands-on experience in quality control within the denim garments manufacturing sector.

  • Prior experience working with international buying houses or liaison offices is a strong advantage.

  • Proven track record of handling quality inspections for globally recognized denim brands.

Technical Knowledge

  • In-depth knowledge of denim fabric construction, weaving, dyeing, and finishing processes.

  • Expert understanding of denim wash techniques and their quality implications.

  • Strong command of AQL sampling procedures, inspection methodologies, and defect classification.

  • Familiarity with international testing standards (AATCC, ISO, ASTM) and buyer compliance requirements.

  • Ability to read and interpret tech packs, garment specifications, and approved trim cards.

  • Strong leadership and communication skills to confidently manage and guide factory production teams.

Department: Quality Control & Assurance

Reporting To : Department Head/ Management.

Work Location : Manufacturing Units / Production Sites

Role Overview

The Quality Controller will be responsible for monitoring and enforcing quality standards at every stage of the denim garment production process. The incumbent will work closely with manufacturing teams to ensure all products meet the technical specifications, buyer requirements, and international quality benchmarks set by our global clientele.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough in-line, mid-line, and final inspection of denim garments at all stages of production.

  • Verify fabric quality, including denim weight (GSM), shrinkage, color fastness, wash effects, and construction integrity.

  • Inspect stitching quality, seam allowances, thread tensions, bartack placements, and hardware attachment.

  • Monitor and control wash processes (stone wash, enzyme wash, acid wash, sandblasting, etc.) to ensure consistency.

  • Enforce AQL (Acceptable Quality Level) standards and maintain detailed inspection reports and records.

  • Identify quality defects and non-conformances and coordinate with the production team for immediate corrective actions.

  • Liaise with buyers, merchandisers, and factory management to communicate quality feedback and resolve issues proactively.

  • Conduct pre-production meetings and review tech packs, approved samples, and buyer comments prior to production start.

  • Ensure compliance with buyer-specific quality manuals, country-of-origin requirements, and testing protocols.

  • Mentor and guide factory quality teams to build a culture of quality awareness and continuous improvement.
