∎ KNOWLEDGE:
∎ • Basic hardware and software troubleshooting (Windows, MS Office, Internet Browsers).
∎ • Understanding of adult education, digital literacy, and e-learning principles.
∎ • Familiarity with internet safety, digital ethics, and inclusive training practices.
∎ • Knowledge of Rohingya camp operations and humanitarian coordination structures is an advantage.
∎ SKILLS:

∎ • Technical skills in managing IT labs and digital devices.
∎ • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
∎ • Basic teaching or facilitation skills for digital literacy content.

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Assist in executing daily activities in English Language and Digital Literacy Labs across designated camps and host areas.
∎ Ensure proper setup, routine maintenance, and troubleshooting of IT devices (e.g., computers, projectors, routers, power backups).
∎ Provide technical support to trainers during sessions involving digital tools and e-learning platforms.
∎ Monitor and ensure the correct and safe use of digital devices by learners and volunteers.
∎ Guide and supervise FDMN and host community volunteers during digital literacy training delivery.
∎ Support administrative tasks including maintenance of stock logs, equipment records, and usage logs for training materials.
∎ Coordinate timely distribution of visibility kits (e.g., bags, t-shirts, umbrellas) and learning incentives to participants.
∎ Liaise with procurement and logistics teams for supply requests and lab repairs.
∎ Represent BRAC appropriately during interactions with local stakeholders, community leaders, and CiC offices as required.
∎ Identify operational risk factors such as connectivity issues, power disruptions, or safety hazards and escalate appropriately.
∎ Maintain attendance logs and generate regular activity summaries, including incident reports and risk observations.
∎ Assist in preparing digital and written reports on lab operations, equipment usage, and participant feedback.
∎ Maintain secure backups of digital materials and training records in accordance with data protection protocols.
∎ Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme’s goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
∎ The Project Officer, Trainer (Information Technology) will support the implementation and operational management of English Language and Digital Literacy Labs. The role focuses on maintaining and managing IT infrastructure, delivering digital training sessions, ensuring smooth functioning of learning centres, and providing day-to-day administrative and technical support. The position will also contribute to risk mitigation and logistical coordination, working closely with senior trainers and lab staff to deliver high-quality digital learning experiences.
