Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Organize farmers to establish Aggregation Center and establish horizontal linkage among farmers' groups to strengthen and ensure the supply chain of Agricultural commodities
∎ Organize farmers’ groups and their agricultural products to ensure a regular supply to the WFP-supported Fresh Food Corner (FFC)
∎ Conduct regular field visits to groups and relevant project areas to monitor activities and ensure progress
∎ Organize meetings and workshops with different stakeholders
∎ Conduct regular market visits to monitor prices and ensure the development of price charts
∎ Communicate with beneficiaries to provide updates and guidance on market trends
∎ Develop and expand relationships among buyers and producer groups across crops, fish, poultry, and livestock sectors
∎ Act as a focal point for promoting value chain and market system development
∎ Facilitate connections between traders/markets and beneficiaries to link producers with new market opportunities
∎ Provide technical guidance to beneficiaries and stakeholders to enhance their engagement with market systems
∎ Prepare and submit detailed field reports to the concerned authority on a regular basis or as needed
∎ Maintain clear and transparent communication with all stakeholders
∎ Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor/management to achieve project goals and objectives
∎ Promote and practice safeguarding policies among team members, ensuring compliance with safeguarding standards in all activities
∎ Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme's goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so
∎ The Project Officer-Market Linkage (Market Linkage Supervisor) (On-Farm) is responsible for fostering sustainable market linkages between farmers and buyers, ensuring a consistent and efficient supply of agricultural products to the WFP-supported Fresh Food Corner (FFC) and other markets. The role involves organizing and mobilizing farmers, establishing aggregation center, monitoring market prices, conducting regular market visits, and facilitating partnerships between farmers and traders. S/he will also strengthen the supply chain and commercial distribution network by adhering to organizational guidelines and maintaining standard procedures.
