Job Responsibilities:
∎ Coordinate with all WASH sectors in government, UN and NGOs at district and upazila levels.
∎ Contribute to programme/ project design, implementation, learning and M&E through active collaboration with all team members.
∎ Provide technical support to the WASH team to ensure a high standard of implementation of strategy and activities.
∎ Ensure designs are implemented as planned and implement Sanitation and Hygiene related program in community and institutions.
∎ Perform technical assessments and support households on facilities site selection and
∎ construction.
∎ Design water supply system or rehabilitation schemes wherever necessary.
∎ Prepare water source protection schemes wherever necessary in consideration of ecology and natural disasters.
∎ Provide capacity strengthening trainings and workshops to staff, masons and ensure knowledge transfer.
∎ Providing supervision, guidance and monitoring of WASH field personnel through setup of task and close monitoring and be first line responsible for the field team.
∎ Ensure that staff understand their individual and collective responsibilities for safety and wellbeing.
∎ Ensure that activities are carried out in accordance with signatory codes of conduct and accepted good practice and seek guidance from Team lead where unclear of current best practice.
∎ Work with the other partners to improve the coordination and keep the meeting minutes recorded and filed.
∎ Establish networking with communities and ensure their participation in the project implementation is well maintained.
∎ Ensure all the achievement data are consistence with the work plan.
∎ Archive and back up all the information related to the project and keep them accessible while away.
∎ Ensure all the assessment, survey, M&E sessions are conducted.
∎ Share the technical Plans and tasks with the specific support unit to ensure the project harmony and be the only responsible for the work quality.
∎ Assist the Team to ensure all aspects of project operations are compliant with the legal,
∎ contractual and statutory requirements.
∎ Develop and maintain an effective filing system for storing project documentation and records and project monitoring systems Logistics / Technical Support.
∎ Monthly Achievements narrative report to the team lead and Initiate Donor reports and get input and feedback from the team lead and Initiate fund raising program documents.
∎ Provide inputs in project proposal development, fund raising, result framework and budget.
∎ Prepare reports for donors, government and UN agencies and internal stakeholders on regular basis
∎ Prepare technical specification, SOP/ Guideline, QA guideline and quality reporting as per the report agreements
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place,
∎ encourage others to do so.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Excellent team management and leadership skills.
∎ Good knowledge of the latest theories, technology and practices in: Community based sanitation i.e.: hygiene education or latrine construction and waste management.
∎ Strong physical ability to do field work in harsh camp conditions.
∎ Excellent communication skills in both English and Bengali. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel and PowerPoint, Gender awareness and a commitment to gender equality.
