Job Context:
∎ The Project Manager is responsible for programme staff management, coordination with finance, logistics and human resources, implementation of activities, project development, reporting, coordination with local Government authorities, and stakeholders and ensure security measures.
∎ S/he will work in direct collaboration with the mission personnel and interface directly with the FC and Deputy CR/Head of Programmes, as appropriate for programme strategy, reporting and administration. (S)he will have direct access to confidential information, including programming objectives in the field, financial details, and security guidelines. A professional sense of security, confidentiality, and proper representation is paramount.
∎ The candidate will conduct his or her duties in respect of the Charter of Terre des hommes, Tdh Child Protection Policy, Bangladesh laws, policies and constitution.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ 1. The overall objective of the current position is to provide overall oversight and management for the project
∎ 2. The selected candidate will ensure the quality, effective and efficient management of the project at all stages of the project cycle through staff management, budgeting, and project-related logistics, coordination with implementation partners & admin support.
∎ 3. She/he will directly supervise the field-based project team to provide technical support to partner to implement project activities.
∎ 4. She/ he will coordinate with the project implementation team, ensuring timely and quality implementation of all the programmatic activities, inclusive of ongoing technical capacity building in coordination and collaboration with the Tdh Coordination Team and the project partners.
∎ 5. She/he works with all relevant authorities at the district and community level (civil, religious, police, militaries and all other services) for better implementation, acceptance and ownership in improving conditions of the target population.
∎ 6. She/he will be responsible for quality reporting to the donor, headquarter, and the NGOAB
∎ 7. She/he will ensure that humanitarian principles, including Child Protection Fundamentals of Tdh, Child Protection Minimum Standards (CPMS), Tdh’s Child Protection in Humanitarian crises policy as well as IASC Guidelines on MHPSS are being incorporated into all aspects of implementation.
∎ 8. She/he will conduct his/her duties in respect of the Tdh Global Code of Conduct and Risk Management Policies, including Tdh Child Safeguarding Policy.
∎ Project Cycle Management:
∎ Contribute and feed into the project design stage through facilitating and coordinating internal and interagency technical needs assessments, drawing lessons learned from previous or external interventions, staff and community consultations (including with children, adolescents and young people)
∎ Lead on implementation of project activities with close collaboration with Implementation Partners through following-up on work plans, expenditure, procurement, progress against indicators and capacity needs
∎ Address roadblocks to implementation through regular field visits, staff discussions and problem-solving.
∎ Contribute to learning through ongoing and end-of-project monitoring and evaluation (qualitative and quantitative), including supporting the development and implementation of the project MEAL plan
∎ Ensure quality implementation of project activities, including contribution to the development of technical tools and materials.
∎ Contribute to project development through narrative writing in concept notes and proposals, log frame indicator and target, budget, work plan, procurement and monitoring & evaluation plan development.
∎ Staff Management and Capacity Building:
∎ In collaboration with CP Coordinator, MHPSS Technical Coordinator and the project partner, provide technical support to the team under his/her supervision through formal training and on-the-job supervision, coaching and mentoring
∎ Ensure all staff in the team have a personalized capacity-building plan in line with the technical competencies and professional competencies and receive regular feedback on their performance with recommendations for improvement.
∎ Monitor the performance of team members on the job, providing coaching, mentoring and linking them to training opportunities when needed.
∎ Support team members to positively address disagreements / resolve disputes and promote staff care.
∎ Reporting and Information Management:
∎ Draft monthly, quarterly, interim or final internal, donor and government reports both narrative and financial.
∎ Ensure the safe, confidential collection, storage, access and analysis of all the project data both hard copies and electronic
∎ Oversee the implementation of the Project Follow-Up tool (PFU), Logistics Follow up tool (LFU) and Budget follow up tool (BFU).
∎ Coordination and Representation:
∎ Represent Tdh at field coordination meetings.
∎ Coordinate with National Olympic Committee and national sports actors.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 30 to 50 years
∎ Skills:
∎ Experience managing teams of 3+ staff members
∎ Proficiency in program design and implementation
∎ Competencies in evaluation and monitoring
∎ Experience with gender and diversity mainstreaming is highly desirable.
∎ Competencies:
∎ Excellent in written and oral English and Bangla
∎ Excellent Project Cycle Management (PCM) skills
∎ Strong in project management including financial management, staff management, capacity development, and leadership skills
∎ Willingness to adapt to changing circumstances, shifting priorities, and unexpected events while keeping the project on track
∎ Excellent communication skills with the ability to negotiate and mediate conflicts
∎ Ability to critically reflect and learn from the experience
∎ Excellent analytical skills including the ability to critically reflect and learn from the experience
