Job Context:
∎ Projahnmo Research Foundation (PRF) in association with Johns Hopkins University, USA has a long and illustrious history of conducting research in Bangladesh. PRF`s research has contributed to improvement of health of Bangladeshi citizens and has supported the career development of numerous Bangladeshi public health professional. PRF is seeking qualified and motivated applicants from Bangladeshi nationals for the position of Project Manager for a multi-country, community-based study to improve infant feeding and growth. The study will be implemented in seven countries in Asia and Africa, coordinated by the World Health Organization. In Bangladesh, the study will be implemented at Zakiganj in Sylhet district.
∎ Under the direction of the study PIs and Director, PRF, the Project Manager will be responsible for overall management of the "Infant Feeding and Growth" trial for effective and quality implementation. S/he will be responsible for planning, execution and study related communications with the study staff and investigators. S/he will prepare and review study reports, identify gaps and potential solutions and communicate with Co-PIs and Investigators. S/he will be also responsible for administrative management of staff and resources. S/he will have to ensure effective and efficient use of the project`s resources and materials.
∎ Reporting: Reports to Director of PRF. Additionally, reports to study PIs for technical aspects of the study.
∎ Working Condition: The PM may be based at Sylhet but will need to travel regularly the study site at Zakiganj upazilla.
∎ Duty station: PRF Sylhet Office
∎ The appointment will be made on a fixed-term basis
Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 7 years professional experience with exposure to MNCH project/research management, project design, and evaluation. Experience to manage community-based trial will be given preference
∎ Experience in program management and administration, financial management, award compliance, and tracking activity performance and costs
∎ Strong in written and verbal English and Bangla communications
∎ Skilled in MS Office software
∎ Planning and organizing.
∎ Operational decision making.
∎ Developing and coordinating with teams.
∎ Coaching and counseling.
∎ Managing performance for success.
∎ Delegating authority and responsibility.
∎ Networking, collaboration and building partnerships
