Competency Requirement:
Computer skills in MS Word, Excel, and power point
Familiarity with qualitative data analysis software will be an added advantage
Projahnmo Research Foundation (PRF) in association with Johns Hopkins University, USA has a long and illustrious history of conducting research in Bangladesh. PRF’s research has contributed to improvement of health of Bangladeshi citizens and has supported the career development of numerous Bangladeshi public health professional. Projahnmo Research Foundation (PRF), in collaboration with national and international partners, is implementing the World Health Organization’s HEARTS-D guidelines in Sylhet, Bangladesh to develop, optimize, and evaluate a community‑to‑facility integrated strategy for Type‑2 Diabetes (T2D) control and prevention in Sylhet City Corporation. This mixed‑methods hybrid implementation/effectiveness trial engage community health workers (CHWs), Primary Healthcare Centers (PHCCs), the District Hospital Non-Communicable Disease Corner, with secure digital data capture. Projahnmo Research Foundation is seeking qualified and motivated applicants from Bangladeshi nationals for the position of Field Research Officer (Qualitative).
Duty station: Sylhet District, Sylhet.
Job Nature: Fixed term
Reports to: Manager, Qualitative Research
Job Description / Responsibility:
Review and understand formative research objectives and study tools and techniques (KII, IDI, FGD guidelines)
Create a detailed data collection plan and coordinate with facility heads and community stakeholders for scheduling interviews and FGDs
Collect data by using qualitative data collection tools and techniques (IDI, FGD etc.)
Ensure proper recording and documentation of discussions
Able to transcribe Bangla audio within the given timeframe
Assist coding and data analysis to produce scientific articles, reports, and other materials
Coordinate with hospital staff (public and private) and uphold values of the organization
Explain study objectives clearly to participants.
Obtain written informed consent before interviews.
Ensure confidentiality and anonymity of participants.
Ensure proper and optimum use of project logistics, including data forms, tab, laptop/desktop computer, etc.
Participate in meetings, trainings, seminars and workshops as required by the program and organization
Maintain monthly field expenses and supporting documents
Carry out any other activities assigned by supervisor/organization in relation to study/organization
Salary and benefits: 55,930/- per month including house rent, conveyance allowance, retirement fund and other admissible benefits.
Initial appointment may be extended for a further period depending on satisfactory performance and availability of funds.
