• MBBS with valid BMDC registration, preferably with master’s degree in public health (MPH).

• Candidates who have working experience in implementing projects will be given preference.

• Age At least 26 years

Competency Requirement:

• Proficiency in Microsoft word, Excel and Power point

• Familiarity with statistical software will be an added advantage

• Strong knowledge of ethical guidelines and Good Clinical Practice (GCP).

• Ability to communicate effectively both in Bangla and English

• Ability to multitask and work under pressure.

Additional Requirement:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to summarize the results or observations.

• Willingness to accept challenges and handle multiple tasks at a time.

• Willingness to work beyond office hours including weekends and holidays if required.

Projahnmo Research Foundation (PRF), in association with Johns Hopkins University, USA has a long and illustrious history of conducting research in Bangladesh. PRF’s research has contributed to improvement of health of Bangladeshi citizens and has supported the career development of numerous Bangladeshi public health professionals. Projahnmo Research Foundation is seeking qualified and motivated applicants from Bangladeshi nationals for the position of Study Physician for “Global Scales for Early Development (GSED) 2.0- Development of population norms for early childhood development under 36 months)’’.

Job Description / Responsibility:

Major Responsibilities

The Study Physician will be primarily responsible for coordinating and implementing GSED 2.0 study activities. However, s/he will contribute to other study activities and support the administrative and management issues of the organization.

1. Effective planning and implementation of project activities in assigned areas:

• Coordinate and supervise data collection from health facilities within the catchment area as per the work plan.

•  Observe data collection activities and provide on-the-job coaching to the assessors, research assistants and data collectors where needed.

2. Monitoring, supervision, and reporting:

• Supervise daily activities of assessors, data collectors, research assistants and check for credibility and trustworthiness of collected data.

• Review data and dashboard/tables and provide feedback to hospital and field team and report to supervisor

• Critically review data, identify gaps and potential solutions, train the hospital and field team based on findings

• Organize, facilitate, and conduct periodic team meetings and training at the local level.

• Prepare progress reports (weekly/fortnightly/monthly) as required.

• Response to the data related queries of the study.

3. Coordination and liaise:

• Maintain liaison with hospital administrators, physicians, nurses and other stakeholders for smooth implementation of the study.

• Participate in study-related meetings with the study team, investigators, and donors.

• Liaise with other project staff and provide support to them as and when required.

4. Administrative, logistical and other responsibilities:

• Ensure proper documentation and archiving records.

• Ensure proper and optimum use of project logistics, including data forms, tab, laptop and other materials.

• Assist in reviewing and managing expenses and supporting documents.

• Logistics management required for the study

5. Any other activities assigned by supervisor/organization in relation to study/organization

Job Nature: Fixed-term

Reports to: Project Manager

Initial appointment may be extended for a further period depending on satisfactory performance and availability of funds.

Salary and benefits: 82,804/- per month including house rent, conveyance allowance, retirement fund and other admissible benefits.
